Squarex··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash
I don't know why, but the benchmarks still fails to cover the difference between large models and small ones. The small ones are great for many things, including general coding, but the larger ones, like fable and astra, have some kind of intelligence that is not present in the small ones.
Squarex··on What will our economic future look like?
It will always be until we have unlimited resources.
Squarex··on What will our economic future look like?
Has your job not be completely changed? Have you not noticed a worse job market?
Squarex··on Tao: Open math problems being non-renewably mined by AI
What? HN has always praised Library Genesis for example.
Squarex··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
The ROI is probably billions of increased pre IPO valuation.
Squarex··on GPT-6 Astra in code review: Gains, privacy, and cost
I don't know, in the Codex app, it burns the limit much faster.
Squarex··on Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.8 Flash Cyber
They are all much larger and more expensive models. Google does not have a frontier model right now, but for cheap ones, they are better than event the chinese models now.
Squarex··on Climate change is strengthening El Niño, coral records suggest
They would, but it is not going to happen. We need solutions that don't count on that.
Squarex··on Qwen3.8-Flash-Next
I don't like these comparisons. Sure it is impressive, but it does not have a world knowledge of larger models. It has most of theirs intelligence.
Squarex··on Accelerating GPT-5.6 Sol Ultrafast
Probably per year, still a crazy amount.
Squarex··on OpenChamber: An Agentic Development Environment
They have the Air and it's quite nic for agentic coding.
Squarex··on OpenChamber: An Agentic Development Environment
It's nice but I get such memory leaks that I have to reboot my bacbook after a few hours of using it. Sticking to opencode gui for now.
Squarex··on Triton: DirectX 11 Driver for QEMU
DX12 is much more complex to implement. Very different API.
Squarex··on Improving GPT‑5.6 Sol in ChatGPT, expanding GPT‑5.6 Luna access for free users
Why pay for ChatGPT Go then?
Squarex··on Zed DeltaDB
Why does the author hate the AI so much?
Squarex··on U.S. used 'virtually all' of its long-range precision missiles during Iran war
For US, major conflict would be with China, perhaps with Russia. Not with Iran.

edit: this is the document I am talking about http://media.defense.gov/2022/Oct/27/2003103845/-1/-1/1/2022...

Squarex··on U.S. used 'virtually all' of its long-range precision missiles during Iran war
That's hard to believe. US with it's military spending should be able to join two large scale conflicts at the same time, not to have problem with a one minor conflict.
Squarex··on Escape IntelliJ: Scala and Kotlin LSPs on Emacs Eglot
oracle has some lsp based on netbeans, but it's not great either
Squarex··on Hacker wipes Romania's land registry database
The same thing happened to Slovakia not that long ago.
Squarex··on GPT-5.6
Same for me, but it produced much better answer than what would I expect from GPT 5.5 xhigh. Also the good think about Codex is that it always finishes the prompt, even when the limit was reached in the half.
Squarex··on EU Parliament greenlights Chat Control 1.0
Secrecy of correspondence is a pretty old concept.
Squarex··on Grok 4.5
first image gen models from openai and google were not available in the eu at the launch
Squarex··on Grok 4.5
Luckily, basic VPN to US is enough to use it. Just tested it.
Squarex··on Germany’s Infineon opens major chip plant as EU seeks tech autonomy
Why should people in food industry have a special threatment compared to people working in other industries?

If I was paying a market price for my medical insurance, I would probably pay a third of it and be able to get a screening sooner than in a half a year as a cancer patient.

Pensions are a special case in my country, because we have just state pensions and almost no private funds. Everyone in my age - late 20s or early 30s know, that we pay a great share of our income to current pensioners but we won't be able to get it because of the demographics.

Squarex··on Germany’s Infineon opens major chip plant as EU seeks tech autonomy
Yeah, most europeans are not aware how much do we spend on agriculture, pensions and healthcare.
Squarex··on FUTO Swipe – A new swipe typing model
I am not quite sure, like 2-4 years ago.
Squarex··on FUTO Swipe – A new swipe typing model
For a long time apple keyboard did not support my language (czech), I would use gboard. And yes, it is still slightly better than the Apple one, but the switching is buggy and the problem is on the apple side.
Squarex··on Norway imposes near ban on AI in elementary school
But computer usage proficiency is not computer science either. These skills should be teached in a separate class. Agree with the gen z lack of computer skills though.
Squarex··on OpenRouter raises $113M Series B
The link is not working.
Squarex··on Electrobun 2.0 will be decoupled from Bun due to the Rust rewrite
They should probably change the name then.
