Sprint··on Further improving digital certificate security
Can I somehow sniff details of all certificates that go through my (Linux) machine? I would be interested in seeing what CAs my used services and visited websites use.
Sprint··on Vote Now: Who Should Be Time's Person of the Year? Edward Snowden
To me "utilise" has a slightly different meaning that "use". I am not a native speaker though. Is it just a fancy way of saying "use"? I thought it implied "using" an option/feature/opportunity to do something. So one "utilises" that to do something.
Sprint··on Docker 0.7 runs on all Linux distributions
I looked at it several times but never really got it. Can I use Docker to isolate different servers (think http, xmpp, another http on another port) on a server so that if one of them was exploited, the attacker would be constrained to inside the container? Or is it "just" of a convenient way to put applications into self-contained packages?
Sprint··on Vote Now: Who Should Be Time's Person of the Year? Edward Snowden
How do you know it does not immediately utilise those rights?
Sprint··on Bash Pitfalls
Apparently a mod changed the URL (to relieve a not so powerful host). The original URL (and thus the one you should be bookmarking/remember) was http://mywiki.wooledge.org/BashPitfalls‎

http://bash.cumulonim.biz/BashPitfalls.html is a mirror, see mlacitation's comment.

Sprint··on Bitcoin Surpasses PayPal in Transaction Volume?
It could even become worth as much as the moon eventually. Your comment is pretty void of anything but hype.

Also "2011". The url submitted originally has zero content added to the CNN source, it just quotes and links to it.

Sprint··on Visualizing The Matterhorn as an 860,000 point cloud
I don't think so, the raw data should be much more accurate down to deci-, if no centimeters.

Sprint··on Privacy not Prism – UK legal challenge
That sounds vague and random. You could also say an un-focused effort misses the bigger picture.
Sprint··on Privacy not Prism – UK legal challenge
Rant on: Why is it that people use "Prism" as synonym for the whole state of government surveillance? PRISM is one specific program of the NSA, there is much more and there is much worse (eg TEMPORA).
Sprint··on Mobile web design: The reign of morons, indeed
Hush, go back to your cave.
Sprint··on Mobile web design: The reign of morons, indeed
Ah, the great features Opera had for ages until they dropped everything. Safari adds them and it's all big news. Read a tech magazine recently that was so excited about this "amazing and ground-breaking new feature" that I wondered if they had ever used Opera before.

With that being said, yeah, being able to apply custom stylesheets to websites easily is great!

Sprint··on The Bonehead Mistake That Brought Down an Online Drug-Dealing Empire
> According to the criminal complaint, Ulbricht posted the question using his own real name. Less than one minute later, he changed his username to “frosty.”

How was it know then? Did they record the traffic and see it there? Did SO tell them?

Sprint··on Response of US Govt to Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, and LinkedIn [pdf]
Response to what?
Sprint··on Are “free” web-services cheese in a mousetrap?
Quite a hyperbole. I use many free "services" on the web and I provide some myself because they are someone's hobby (sometimes mine).
Sprint··on The Faces of Facebook – Visualizing 1.2 billion Facebook profile images
Your browser is doing the downloading. The URLs are available from the API (I changed random characters):

  $ curl -I https://graph.facebook.com/100000624321700/picture
  HTTP/1.1 302 Found

Then it is just a matter of incrementing the number. This might be a fun research project.

Sprint··on FBI vexsome filer list
Ok, so the topic might be worth keeping. But your examples show no need for keeping the identification of the requester.
Sprint··on FBI vexsome filer list
It could lead to discriminisation of people (or topics). They should not keep the information about who requested what any longer than needed to fulfill the request.

Sounds like a violation of rule #21: Don't use Javascript to load/render your content text. It's idiotic. Thanks.
