What planet do you live on or what U.S.Intel agency do you work for?
Let me tell you a story. My friend was in the World Trade Center when the other tower was hit by a plane. There were being held back by authority figures like security guards telling them not to leave the building because it’s safest. He said forget about that and got a bunch of people to break through the security guards. By the time they reach the 10th floor, the second plane hit their building and they were buffed around the stairwell like ragdolls. if you listen to authority, he would be dead.
Submitting to authority is the problem. Questioning authority is science. Its fine to go along with whatever the NIH believes, but that doesn’t make it true nor helpful.

"There’s a long history linking zinc with optimal immune function. For example, it’s known that people whose zinc levels are too low have little to no infection-fighting T cells and the thymus, the organ in which T cells develop, is nearly non-existent, Iovino said. When zinc-deficient people are given extra zinc, their thymuses grow and start pumping out these immune cells."

That is nothing close to what they are doing. Do you think they are going to be giving these scans to everyone that walk in with fatigue and/or depression? I cannot even get to see a rheumatologist and I am disabled with schizoaffective disorder.
I am one of the people with this deadly disease and frankly I want to die right now because I am homeless living with schizoaffective disorder and it its the 15 year anniversary of my nephews suicide and all anyone here does is downvote me because they cannot take the time to listen.
DO you know how many years I have heard of sht like this and then I go to the doctor and I am getting the same medications my mother got when she was sick 60 years ago?
Do me a favor, read my blog, look at what I know and what I have and am living with, then come back here and tell me I should be happy about this study that will do nothing for me and nothing for anyone in the next 20 years. Then tell me how not giving me that money to help me other people living with mental illness who are homeless to find housing is not better.
They diagnosed the patients to get them in the study and they they said "see, it matched out "objective" diagnosis based on the patients "subjective" complaints.
There is nothing quantitative about what they are doing. Take a look at figure 5. How quantitative is that?
If one becomes "depressed" when sick, why not investigate the immune dysregulation in depression?
The only way out of a mental illness is personalized medicine but that is something no one care enough to provide.
The doctors "objectively" thought I was on drugs.
And those tele-health centers are being shutdown because they do no legitimate screening and are pill farms.

So I feel you are confusing mental health and mental illness and confusing compassion with a profit making operation.
Neither can doctors, or researchers. They obviously see something wrong with you, as they did with me, so do we worry about their objectivity? No. Because bias and stigma.
And if you are looking for answers, like I have been for 20 year, you might want to look at the role the purine pathway plays in mood disorders. Here is an article I wrote about it.

Best of luck because I objectively know the crap you are dealing with.
They they try to obfuscate by making bold only one part of this statement? "The Panel recommends against using zinc supplementation above the recommended dietary allowance"
So it is not that they recommenced against taking zinc, just zinc over 11mg.
But what if someone is zinc deficient even though it goes against their own guidelines? Should they not even recommend testing for zinc deficiency?

They are leaving us behind because they do not care about us.
This need to measure everything is almost pathological.
The powerful immune system against powerful COVID-19: A hypothesis
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S030698772...
In this article, we provide a novel hypothesis to describe how an increase in cellular adenosine triphosphate (c-ATP) can potentially improve the efficiency of innate and adaptive immune systems to either prevent or fight off COVID-19.

Energy depletion indicated by the reduced levels of ATP and GTP has been described in several studies on infectious diseases and endotoxemia16,17,18. Reduced ATP levels in blood and various organs, including the liver, have been previously associated with influenza virus infection in a mouse model16. Decreased GTP levels have been shown in the lung tissues of rabbits treated with bacterial endotoxin lipopolysaccharide17. Increases in the serum levels of hypoxanthine and inosine have also been reported in patients with primary dengue virus infection at the febrile stage, suggesting an imbalance of ATP and/or GTP synthesis and degradation during the acute stage of the dengue fever18. These studies and ours indicate that regulatory energy depletion is a common symptom of infectious diseases.
I’m just saying there’s something in each person that determines whether or not Covid can cause long Covid. If you don’t make that distinction, all you do is make everyone think they’re going to get long Covid. And by not looking at the distinctions You never find out why people get Covid.
If I had long Covid, I would rightly say Covid caused my long Covid. But since I don’t have Covid, I can’t say that Covid caused my long Covid so for me Covid did not cause long Covid.
I’m more interested in the distinction of Outcomes and the wording they’re using pay no attention to distinction.
Because exercise alone can weaken the immune system enough to Reactivate viruses.
I mean, look at the title of the paper
“Spectrum of COVID-19: From Asymptomatic Organ Damage to Long COVID Syndrome”
Where is the part of the spectrum where nothing happens at all? The spectrum of COVID-19 is from nothing happened to dying.
And I can see everyone on Twitter right now yelling at me to wear a mask because the spectrum of Covid is always disabling. It’s just really really bad messaging
Frankly, I’m expecting a huge rise in the rate of Early onset Alzheimer’s.
And vaccine damage is a thing. They’re currently paying people for vaccine damage in the UK. A few of them got through already. One guy Had to get his leg amputated.
You shouldn’t minimize the risks of the vaccines because there are risks. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, I just wanna know the risks of any drug I’m taking.
Smoking does not cause lung cancer. Smoking raises the risk of lung cancer.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2951592/#:~:tex...).
Personally, and this is my own humble opinion, I think what was wrong with the person was they had low ATP and GTP. If you wanna know more about the science behind it, I’ll be glad to explain it.
This is important because this is how you cure diseases by making these distinctions.
