Spastche··on Warner Brothers Cartoon Companion (1998)
I feel like radio dudes they make their sites and software look terrible on purpose
Spastche··on Workers are stuck in place because everyone is too afraid of a recession to quit
the only thing I can think of is the military and that's only in some circumstances
Spastche··on Daily marijuana use linked to increased risk of deadly head and neck cancers
I'm reminded of some study about this that was using joints mixed with tobacco.
Spastche··on Facebook Marketplace Is a Joke
my issue is the amount of old listings. is it worth replying to listings that are half a year old? it seems more likely the items are sold and just haven't been taken down. reasonably priced cars, music equipment, bikes, items that should be gone within a week - somehow are listed for half a year. what the heck?
Spastche··on RealNetworks Unveils Its Next Generation (1998)
funny timing, I was just reading about Lt Gov Denny Heck cause tomorrow is the election, and I ended up reading about RealNetworks cause he was an early investor.
Spastche··on 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die
first one it gave me was Violent Femmes. guess I'll be listening to that today then
Spastche··on Back to the future: Are hackers the future of amateur radio?
I got mine and have used it a handful of times, mainly helping my friend test his radios. it's all radio tests or talking about your radio. it is incredibly boring and I like boring technical stuff. SDR is where all the fun radio stuff is.
Spastche··on Extraverted People Talk More Abstractly, Introverts Are More Concrete (2012)
I think introverts are less likely to talk about their ideas unless they are going to put them into practice though, so you get extroverts just blabbering about whatever whim comes to them, confusing everything
Spastche··on The greatest social media site is Craigslist
marketplace seems horrible, I'm trying to find a number of used digital pianos and there's a ton of old listings (like 8+ week old listings)

meanwhile craigslist is just kinda ugly and any real spam is obvious and easy to ignore or filter out.

Spastche··on Car dealerships revert to pens and paper after cyberattacks on software provider
>EDIT: this is actually the combined market share of CDK + Reynolds, who have a non-compete agreement

I would bet money they have non-competes and no-hire agreements with more companies than that - the entire industry is full of it

Spastche··on Xylitol is associated with cardiovascular risk
last time I drank half a can of diet soda, about 2 months ago, I was in pain for a week because of aspartame. every single time I take it's like that. it's the same with most artificial sugars.
Spastche··on Xylitol is associated with cardiovascular risk
I want to say one of those was originally made to induce diarrhea. I can't eat them either.
Spastche··on Xylitol is prothrombotic and associated with cardiovascular risk
it makes me poop funny
Spastche··on Study shows most doctors endorsing drugs on X are paid to do so
that's part of it, but even fit people are often lazy and crave convenience
Spastche··on Study shows most doctors endorsing drugs on X are paid to do so
we are addicted to convenience and ease
Spastche··on 'It's better for humans in general': The 4-day workweek is closer than you think
what a bizarre guy, I would not have expected that
Spastche··on Is Target selling its excess inventory on eBay and Poshmark?
I've seen their clothes at Goodwill as well, tons of brand new stuff with tags still on them. silly thing is the price was nearly the same
Spastche··on Smoking weed every day makes me less presentable and less productive. I love it
if you can channel this okay-with-boredom attitude into something productive you can be super productive. I don't think everyone can do it but I feel like it's definitely true of some people.
Spastche··on Daily cannabis use overtakes drinking in US first
>In practice I have heard on podcasts based in places like Washington and California where hosts say they almost can't leave their home without being hit in the face with the stink of weed.

that's some severe hyperbole. you'll probably smell it on the bus if you use the bus, but weird smells are part of riding the bus. I rarely smell it at the grocery store unless someone's carrying flower in an unsealed package, it's pretty obvious in those cases

Spastche··on Daily cannabis use overtakes drinking in US first
couldn't that be said of farts?
Spastche··on The beauty of concrete
use latex, and if it's big enough, back it with fiberglass. that seems to be the common way to make molds on youtube
Spastche··on Colorectal cancer incidence in teens up 300% since 1999
isn't bowel issues a super common side effect?
Spastche··on The Post Millennial hacked, subscriber database leaked
>I also don’t get the hate against Andy Ngo.

people tend to dislike people who flat out make things up

Spastche··on The Post Millennial hacked, subscriber database leaked
it's hard to care about someone who lies about simple things like milkshakes.
Spastche··on Bottle Plotter
neat. might combine this with a bottle cutter to use them as planters for plants
Spastche··on Carl Sagan, nuking the moon, and not nuking the moon
"I walked on the moon. Did a pushup. Ate an egg on it. What else can you do with it?"
Spastche··on The Acid Test Clause (2017)
if the business agreed with the contract then... that's all on them? they didn't have to take the job.
Spastche··on How the Food Industry Pays Influencers to Shill Blueberries, Butter, and More
you reminded me of this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_clown_sightings

then suddenly, what comes out the next year? A long awaited remake of It

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_(2017_film)

well, that's awfully curious.

Spastche··on The Acid Test Clause (2017)
David Lee Roth explains quite reasonably it:

I don't blame him at all, it's a safety thing and the M&Ms are one way to see if everything is being done properly

Spastche··on Microsoft killed my favorite keyboard
those classic MS ergonomic ones were great. for games, it gave you a ton of easy to hit hot keys with the split down the middle.

trackball + ergonomic keyboard probably makes me look like the equivalent of an old man in a white tee shirt wearing suspenders but it's a great combo
