I'll throw another anecdote to the pile. I use a split, angled keyboard with a nonstandard keyboard layout for over a year now and I can use normal keyboards just fine.
See the crud around john deer tractors. Not being able to modify your word processor is one thing, being unable to repair thousands of dollars of agriculture equipment is much worse.
Maybe colour lenses that have different colours and "stretch" out random lengths in different directions. Colour to confound determining what the pupil is and random stretches to make it harder to determine where to eye is looking.
The first statement is not true, there were many capitalist countries that simply murdered anyone left of centre. Hell, its illegal to be a communist in Germany!
They say they're going to put out a 1 watt version, that will open things up a little more. I've seen home servers (consumer hardware) that never consume more than ~20 watts. Not sure the price of these hypothetical future batteries but that could be very useful. If nothing else, it can offset electricity costs a little.
Do we get used to animal gore though? Do you know why there are legal time limits on how long you can work at an abbatoir? Its because anyone who works there for more than ~3 years tends to become a serial killer. We're used to seeing meat because its out of the context of a slaughtered animal., in the same way that a mortician is used to seeing corpses in caskets, but would freak out if there was one in their shed. If people had to kill their own cows, I imagine vegetarianism would take off.
What part couldn't you figure out? Where you editing ebooks or just managing a library? Not a contributor here, just curious.
Edit: I've read a few more comments and some a free with you, while others think it works fine. I'm wondering if there's something about the UI that clicks with some but not others.
What do you find difficult about the calibre interface? It seems quite intuitive to me. To be fair, I only add metadata (tags, scores, descriptions, covers, series info etc) and polish ebooks. I just add books to my ereader after that.
Good for the internet but then there would be less attacks on real websites, who is cloudflare going to charge people for protection? Could be a good nonprofit idea though, get some hosting companies together and donate band with to a central target to get people to stop targeting their actual customers.
We don't have a constitution, you mean a change of legal precedent. I agree that's its and awful precedent to set. But it's already been done with Parliament declaring Rwanda safe, changing convictions doesn't seem so beyond the pale. I'm honestly not sure what else to do about it though. The sheer scale of incompetence and cover up in the post office and the software company will likely take years to sort through. Can the victims really wait that long? What is the alternative? Having everyone convicted file an appeal? After everything they've already gone through? Frankly, just wiping the slate clean and getting rid of all the convictions seem like the good move to me.
The software this scandal centres around was known for recording incorrect numbers. Numbers that were then relied upon to accuse postal employees of theft. blitzsr is saying that you should be prepares to speak up when your software is fucking up. Essentially a more consise way of saying what zhyl did.
The correlation between vegans and health is muddied by the fact that vegans put far more thought into their diet than the average person. Its entirely possible not eating meat is orthoganal to health and its just that they actually care about what they eat.
No evidence of this, but I also suspect that vegans care more about their health in other weights too (e.g. exercising, not smoking, etc). If they can keep up with a vegan diet, they likely also have the discipline to keep up with exercise regimes and keeping good habits.
