A must see movie for sci fi lovers!

It’s like a zip, but for audio. Uncompresses to the exact original.

Snd_on Ask HN: Depressed, need to leave web development, what can I do?

I feel you... Web development is geared towards the "next hot thing" and can be very exhausting. Could it be an option to change your career path into a more management type role? Are you good with people? You might be a great mentor for junior devs?

Snd_on TikTok overtakes YouTube for average watch time in US and UK

As a European: this is extremely funny. America has been doing this for years. Apparently only when it's not America doing these things it becomes a problem?

Snd_on Twitter’s web redesign isn’t as accessible as it should be, experts say

Thanks for the suggestion! However, that link takes forever to load. I gave up after 2 minutes.

This is an ad.

Snd_on React is Dead, Long live Reactive Rails

Snd_on Yap: An ephemeral, Real-Time chat room with up to six participants

I understand this sentiment, I really do... but this layout/design is so simple to make I think a framework would be overkill and unnecessary bloat. This is coming from someone who does css for a living daily so your mileage may vary.

Snd_on Yap: An ephemeral, Real-Time chat room with up to six participants

Why would you need a framework for this? Oh man this is so wrong...

Snd_on Firefox 70

This is great news! I tried to switch to firefox to do my (frontend) development in, but I noticed serious slowdowns compared to Chrome with multiple tabs open. Going to give this another try!

Snd_on Apple is now a privacy-as-a-service company

Well, for starters: xposed gave me a LOT of options to customize every aspect of my phone. Statusbar tweaks, screen brightness tweaks, deeper tasker integration, to name a few... for a tech savvy person with too much time on their hands it is heaven to be able to customize your phone so much more than what is initially "allowed".

Snd_on How true hackers write JavaScript

I would REALLY love to see the browser usage statistics for HN :)

Snd_on How to Design for the Modern Web [satire]

This is funny and sad at the same time :')

Related: does anyone know if a good modal/popup/cookie-warning blocking plugin exists? It's come so far that surfing the web isn't fun anymore.

Snd_on Laravel Nova

Looks nice. I was wondering if this is comparable to October cms? I've used that for some projects and it's really underrated imho.
