Lego had its own digital designer, I remember playing around with it a really long time ago, seems its still around. http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/

Except every id game is OpenGL, many of the first 3D Blizzard games, and the original source engine, all had OpenGL support.

Canada tried something like this in the 70's, it worked.
