Making resources sharing easier maybe ?
Shugarl··on Human Ageing Reversed in ‘Holy Grail’ Study, Scientists Say

Shugarl··on Xkcd: Ten Years
That was... unexpectedly sweet.

But now that she won against cancer, she won't have to deal with it anymore. That was on the fine print, after all. Congratulations !

Shugarl··on BetterExplained: Clear, intuitive lessons about mathematics
Aside from Zhyl's comment (Thank you by the way), is there a list of Betterexplained-like ressources ? Finding Betterexplained made several things just "click" in my head, and I hope to find something similar with computer science.
Shugarl··on BetterExplained: Clear, intuitive lessons about mathematics
Well, I guess it's fine. I might be wrong on this, but I always thought that the goal of this site wasn't to make you an expert on a subject, but to provide you a high-level, intuitive understanding of a subject, which then makes understanding the hard parts/the details waaay easier. (Whereas in college, we'd go straight up to the hard parts after a small introduction.)
Shugarl··on Evidence-based software engineering: book released
I also find it quite strange. I remember my teachers telling that we're making a little bit of progress in software engineering research, but comparing it to the state of research in fields like Math or Physics would be like comparing a fully grown man and a toddler.

In other words, we hardly know anything

Shugarl··on YouTube Down
The situation isn't quite the same though. Youtube is backed by one of the biggest company on earth. They have the means to either buy their competition, copy them or destroy them.
Shugarl··on YouTube Down
Sounds like a nightmare. Thank God for Netflix and YouTube, even though they bring their own set of problems.
Shugarl··on The Gods on Hacker News
Even putting aside the money thing, I'm always impressed when I see people considered important in the CS-field come and discuss topics casually.
Shugarl··on Apple requests to remove WebAssembly support in a-Shell
But wouldn't it be easier to achieve with a shell ?
Shugarl··on Chameleons Not Seen by Scientists for Century Found in a Madagascar Hotel Garden
I wonder if finding this one will help them figuring out a pattern to find other Chameleons ?
Shugarl··on Bongo Cat
I needed this, thank you.
Shugarl··on Tacit knowledge is more important than deliberate practice
Is having a mentor necessary ? Can't it be gained in other ways ?
