Perhaps they don't see it as a "platform expansion device" rather they see it as an iPod - just a music player. And the music player market is very tough unless you're Apple.

I'm in dA and I see a lot of people there who don't have access to expensive tools like photoshop, So I think they built this to enable more users to submit art. I don't know how it benefits dA, but as a user I just love it!

Yes, but there are plenty of other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome that work in XP. Unless you're talking about accessing sites that will work only in IE.

I think they changed their approach to the market. I guess they have capable people at the top who think clearly.
