Seems to be down currently.

Umm... can't you just code something super small and efficient to do the same thing?

Not sure what I'm going to build, but it's going to make me a lot of money.

SaturateDK··on Getting Started with Security Keys
To be fair they may have customer service, but you are not the customer but the product.
SaturateDK··on The Advertising Industry Has a Problem: People Hate Ads
I really do hate ads, and I've even worked doing ads both for web and TV.

I want to pay for my services, and would like real micro transactions, maybe I read an article i really enjoyed - I want to be able to pay for this, as a donation.

I'm pretty sure we need to look beyond ads for funding services and websites. I'd much rather pay, and while I know not everyone wants to pay... if we could push this behavior, it would really make the web better.

Personally, I have adblockers, privacy badger and even AdGuard/PiHole on my network.

So to all creators, let me pay you, even a tiny amount. I'm aware that transaction fees are en enemy here, so maybe that's a problem to fix?

That's why I'm pretty happy with my smart lights, they can change kelvin rating, so while working it can be blueish, and later on more warm.

Thanks a lot for the reply! :-)

I don't understand the "When a mistake becomes a genius move" part... cool that is was a mistake, but I feel like there's missing something, how was this mistake made? What was the mistake?
SaturateDK··on The Awkward but Essential Art of Office Chitchat
I use https://www.eff.org/privacybadger for all websites, seems to do the trick for me.

It's "kun det bedste er godt nok" alright and I would translate that to "Only the best is good enough". Just for the record.

I would love to try something like this, but living in the EU I can't use Google Voice.
SaturateDK··on Sites using Facebook ‘Like’ button liable for data, EU court rules
Not only are they dead space, but in many cases I have found them to degrade performance by a lot on websites. I use Privacy Badger to block them all, as I really never have seen the point of them.
SaturateDK··on Show HN: Generate a fake app to replace any addictive app
If you reload the page 3 times, it blurs out the counter and message. While I see that this is to make people donate, it would be pretty nice to state, that in order to see it again - you must donate. I was thinking it was a bug at first.

I'll do this for my next "TV", however I might never buy a new one really. Unless it dies I don't really feel the need to upgrade it.
SaturateDK··on React Router v5
Oh, this looks promising. I'm pretty tired of react-router, and I like to keep my navigation in my redux state, as it's a big part of any application state in my mind.

How well does router5 work with redux? I see they have an official package for it, so it's looking good, but maybe you have first hand experience.

You can view the creators here: http://www.kanyewest.com/humans.txt

But it's pretty common for websites to be packed with tracking. Mostly it's not even the creators but marketing people who want's it.

SaturateDK··on The “Run Less Software” philosophy
1.6MB for one image of a map, that alone is a huge factor in the size. Unfortunately it's the state of many websites.
SaturateDK··on Ex-Facebook insider says covert data harvesting was routine
I say wipe them. I have been deleting data for the last couple of days, I don't need old comments and likes - even pictures as I have them myself.

This was I can slowly phase it out, this has been my plan all along, but I need some time to make all logins work without facebook ect.

My intent is to delete it eventually. Until then no new content, and wiping the old content.

Until it's published and reviews there isn't much to say. But it's exciting to me, hope I can read it soon.

SaturateDK··on Elementary Knightship found in Conway's Game of Life
It's hard to answer, it depends on the person I guess... But for my point of view it's easy. You can find 3D versions online that work in the browser.
SaturateDK··on Stimulus: A modest JavaScript framework for the HTML you already have
30KB? That's a lot, this is not minified and Gzip'ed is it?
SaturateDK··on Stimulus: A modest JavaScript framework for the HTML you already have
We try to transtile as little as possible. And we do detect IE so that we can serve special bundles with special polyfills for that browser.

It's not perfect, but it's better for the newer browsers - they get something fact and neat, IE users get a slower one, but they would never get a really nice experience.

SaturateDK··on Stimulus: A modest JavaScript framework for the HTML you already have
I did two other frameworks that are super similar, hooked up with dynamic loading of the code with webpack, and the older one RequireJS.

It's a super awesome pattern, that makes things super simple and it's super lightweight as well.
