If you are looking to do async apps I'd recommend avoid Rust in the short term (the ecosystem about async in Rust is a mess at the moment, hopefully in a few years is in a better position and probably in the core)
Java forbidden multiple inheritance because of the function overriding or diamond problem.
Also Python OO has a lot to improve.
No one remembers the bluetooth not working? The famous Magic Mouse ? iPhone 6 was bending in people's pockets?
The list is far from short
Amazon is becoming a Wish also.
It's built for linux (as others that you mentioned) and they contribute to KDE and others open source projects so as you can expect if you have any issue they will reply to your queries.
On the other hand purism probably is the worst you mentioned.
At work I had several MBP in the meantime. All of them with several problems. Docker extremely slow, Bluetooth not working, ports not working, noise like a nuclear reactor, extremely hot like you can actually make a pizza on top also the OS is very strict and hard to tell any other MBP user how to install things or how to configure it feels like a roulette and some of them if you open more than 6 apps it may reboot so good luck if MBP is your only option because you will be screw.
I'm not saying that should change everything ... but in 20 years the only thing different is now there's more integrations with other products but gmail is still the same.
I also have a macbook Pro because my workplace forced me to. I had several problems with gpg, docker, Bluetooth, etc.. the list can go on as much as you like tbh. You can google this if you don't believe me. Not sure why people is under the spell of "MBPs just work" unless they use it as a stone it doesn't.
Otherwise Linux is the only nice way.
The main problem for me is pipenv and pip doesn't solve dependencies version issues when you want to upgrade one or several packages. Poetry in the other hand never had an issue.
My recommendation stay offline as much as you can.
