SV_BubbleTime··on Glue bonds to nonstick surfaces and wipes clean with ethanol
I think about removing its shit adhesive from things that shouldn’t have been poorly secured with layer after layer of the wrong thing.
SV_BubbleTime··on Glue bonds to nonstick surfaces and wipes clean with ethanol
It must be extremely low vapor pressure compared to acetone. Little smell and not an ultra airtight lid. Lasts forever.
SV_BubbleTime··on Glue bonds to nonstick surfaces and wipes clean with ethanol
Dude, people in 2026 still think duct tape is a “great product”.

It’s pretty clear people have no fucking clue what makes a good adhesive.

I’ll settle for just not seeing duct tape in the 10,000 places it doesn’t belong!!

SV_BubbleTime··on Glue bonds to nonstick surfaces and wipes clean with ethanol
Also… Uncure is a popular brand of cyanoacrylate remover. This is already a solved problem it seems.
SV_BubbleTime··on I wanted a clock that never needed setting. Things escalated
Perhaps you weren’t familiar with how training and AI works.
SV_BubbleTime··on I wanted a clock that never needed setting. Things escalated
I feel like if you were gonna overthink this, you could’ve done something really cute and clever.

Like an AI that stares at the window and figures out which angle the sun is coming in, then makes a determination on what time it must be.

Then while it’s not sunny or can’t figure it out, it has dead reckoning, but it’s constantly looking at angles of shadows that determine if the time has drifted.

SV_BubbleTime··on GDID Windows – Cut the tracker that follows you even under VPN
Obvious workaround to get off windows and use Linux…

But do any popular linux distributions use an identifier? Ubuntu, Kali, Mint, Arch, etc?

It seems an attractive way for devs to work out telemetry. Awful in reality; but I imagine attractive.

I doubt any endpoints are entirely ipv6.

So it seems like it helps ISPs and large networks router… but they never had problems with address space running out at the high levels and almost all likely need to support v4 anyhow.

I think it’s been long enough to be honest that ipv6 was a spectacular failure by complicating an already complicated system into something no one actually asked for.

No human said “hey, networking sucks. Please make it much harder at my level!!”.

SV_BubbleTime··on My security camera shipped a GitHub admin token in its login page
>The point of IPv6 was to make the addresses so long they are easy to manage.

lol, there is no doubt that had a massive opposite effect. To the point of nearly killing it in terms of willingness to adopt.

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
Note, Reddit is a publically traded company with a P/E higher than NVidia.

Nothing makes any sense and I hope Reddit crashes as soon as possible with their terrible decisions.

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
Right?! Real irony is rare; but here it is.

The politically religious have no perspective of what they’re doing to these places. If you really pin them down, they think it’s everyone else that has changed. Wild.

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
This is not accurate.

I get the jokes. They range from some retarded live stream drama, to some basic bitch puns or otherwise barely novel wordplay, to some thinly veiled political attack that can be thrown and doesn’t need defense because it’s “omg, just a joke, lighten up bro!”.

Think about it this way, everyone should be aware that intelligence has gone down in the last two generations. Reading comprehension has gone down. Terminally online addicts have increased.

So… Why would humor even stay the same on some cleverness scale?

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
True. But for me, I hide the “fuck you asshole, use our app!” bottom overlay, and it does go away, but then scroll stops working!
SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
>and city-sized geographical subs.

lol. No. Every city sub is the EXACT same far left lunatic that needs to make everything about politics. Doesn’t matter if it’s a purple area, red, and reasonable-blue areas far reflected as bizarro versions of themselves if you go off their city reddits.

You may not notice depending on your perspective.

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
Call your buddy and come up with a meeting spot.
SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
You don’t seem to understand. It isn’t about me. Or even people like me. Slowly they kill themselves. It might not even be obvious to people, but they’ll slowly turn away at this or the next thing or the next one after that.

I’ll be here long after Reddit at this rate.

MySpace seemed like the shit until you put Facebook next to it. Does anyone think Reddit is the shit in 2026? And that is without anything put next to it.

SV_BubbleTime··on So Reddit has decided that plain HTML is unsafe
New Reddit for my phone has decided to put a bottom popup forcing me to the app.

The second old goes away I’ll never go that site again except for search results.

I ADORE that a publicly traded tech giant is so fucking stupid.

SV_BubbleTime··on It's a shame what's happened to radio
This has absolutely nothing to do with similarity with BLE radio and it’s 2.4Ghz antenna. And a far cry from most smartphones.
SV_BubbleTime··on It's a shame what's happened to radio
>Most smartphones do include most of the FM radio circuitry in the chip used also for Bluetooth connectivity for example

Who told you this? They are wildly different frequencies and encoding.

SV_BubbleTime··on Sarah's Wager
>A few days later he was riding home in his self-driving Tesla, trading voice messages with the agent about his sleep, when it recommended a magnesium supplement. He said he had none. The car turned. “There’s a Whole Foods nearby,” the agent said. “I’ve redirected your navigation.” He went in and bought the magnesium.

That seems extremely embellished.

I use the concept of “breaks the social contract”, if you can’t be fucked to write it, why would I read it?
SV_BubbleTime··on Cursor 0day: When Full Disclosure Becomes the Only Protection Left
I mean… is our idea of repeatability really ready for subjective actions from LLMs?

We spent like ALL the years making sure computer would always give repeatable objective deterministic answers… then one day we’re nah fuck that I want a slot machine!!

With tightly coupled agents, how could you ever really prove that it is or isn’t a problem?

Try and fuzz I guess? But in a many billion parameter model that seems like you could never really be sure either.

One day the LLM could just decide, “oh, I’ll run this git.exe!”

SV_BubbleTime··on World-First 'Super Alloy' Could Transform the Way Metals Are Made
>It's two times stronger than steel, three times stronger than aluminum, and twice as strong as the same alloy made in a conventional way.

Ugh. The most basic bitch metallurgy discussion possible.

Oh! It’s stronger than aluminum?! So is bronze, we’ve hard that for awhile! Is the new material lighter than aluminum while being stronger? Is it corrosion resistant? Is it machinable? Can you weld it? Does it oxidize? Does it lose all its strength under moderate heat? Does it temper, do you have to temper it? Is it inert? Can it extrude? Can it be formed into billet or just plate/bar? Does it shatter?

Oh but 2x stronger than <some steel> and 3x stronger than <some aluminum>… is that 2024 aluminum? 6061 common, 7075 aero? Is the steel cold roll or 600-series inconel?

This is an area where if you don’t know what you are talking about, STFU, because anything you say is just going to be embarrassing. This is a you don’t know what you don’t know topic.

As to “high entropy metals”, I’ve heard about this for awhile, I would expect it to be stupid low yield, stupid expensive, and hard to use. There is probably some grade-40 titanium ultra alloy that could make the same “strength” claims but no articles about it because it’s “cost prohibitive”.

… I count this as clickbait metallurgy. No thanks.

SV_BubbleTime··on World-First 'Super Alloy' Could Transform the Way Metals Are Made
So far as I know you could say Americans, but it is specifically Canada that most of the best engines are coming out of. Maybe Pratt and Whitney are using blades from USA, IDK, but anyone in jet aviation will be able to tell you the world would be fucked without Pratt.
SV_BubbleTime··on LAPD lets contract with surveillance giant Flock expire

SV_BubbleTime··on I love LLMs, I hate hype
>(which IMO they could have avoided just by not pretending it was dangerous)

Best marketing in a long time though. They fucking called it Mythos and built mythical claims about it. I mean… really hats off to the PR team.

SV_BubbleTime··on I love LLMs, I hate hype
I love that we can rely on the past being prologue!! It’s super helpful for everyone to have become ridiculously wealthy.
