Rompect··on Heathrow tells airlines to stop selling additional flights until September
> Wie viel verdient man als Flughafen in Deutschland?

This literally means "how much do you earn as an airport in Germany". The answer is 2194€. Made me laugh.

Rompect··on Learn Rust by writing a small OS
Literally my entire kindle library is from there and surprise surprise, I haven't been visited by the police (yet).
Rompect··on Learn Rust by writing a small OS
Why would I pay for something that I can get for free?
Rompect··on A record 4.5M workers quit their jobs in November
> Just because productivity has doubled in 40 years doesn't mean that people have been twice as productive.

???

Rompect··on Z Library
I don't know whether they have a different dataset of books, but the search engine is definitely vastly superior. Not only in looks, but most importantly in terms of results.
Rompect··on Euler’s number pops up in situations that involve optimality
Also an amazing way are Taylor polynomials, this article explains the process of thought really well:

Rompect··on Euler’s number pops up in situations that involve optimality
I genuinely don't know whether the trick of that question is swapping the `e^x` with `e^y`, so just renaming a variable – or is `y` a function?
Rompect··on How long does it take ordinary people to get good at chess?
I played one single game once and the opponent used one of these bait openings so obviously I fell for it and lost immediately.
Rompect··on Hacking YouTube with a MP4
I even saw videos that play something entirely different the second time you play it!
Rompect··on Death of the Calorie (2019)
I don't know but I know that I LOVE that person deeply
Rompect··on We don’t need nearly as much protein as we consume
Sadly, I wouldn't trust any mainstream nutrition advice at all. When you see the McDonalds and Coca Cola logos behind footballers, and find out that the food pyramid was made by the Department of Agriculture and unsurprisingly advocates for crops, you become really suspicious.
Rompect··on We don’t need nearly as much protein as we consume
No. I've been eating beef meat, chicken and a suet that is 99.8% fat for more than a month now and it's great. Nobody needs vegetables or nuts.
Rompect··on An Afghan minister who became a bicycle courier in Germany
Remember that this guy already has had British citizenship, but he decided to immigrate to Germany despite the language barrier and not being a citizen.
Rompect··on Most URLs are syntactically valid JavaScript code
I'm more baffled that

    foo: "bar";
is a valid expression. I know, it's the named statement syntax normally used for loops, but I didn't know this worked for any expression.
Rompect··on When static makes your C code 10 times faster
This is like the easiest thing for a compiler to detect and optimize.
Rompect··on Language learning with Netflix
Muchas gracias!
Rompect··on Medium sees employee exits after CEO publishes ‘culture memo’
Oh, they only went through each employee, assessed their specific race and entered it into a spreadsheet. What is the problem?
Rompect··on China allows couples to have three children
According to that argument, the capitol riot was justified.
Rompect··on Use native context menus on Mac OS
I never understood how people used lodash. Basically every function can be copied and just inserted into ones own codebase and you have one less dependency, which is very pleasant. And they are all so simple that there will never be a problem.
Rompect··on Bibliogram – Open-source front-end for Instagram
Improve how? It was already pretty good. The entire user page and even Instagram TV was supported. But the current situation is not Bibliogram's fault.
Rompect··on Modern Javascript: Everything you missed over the last 10 years (2020)
Sounds a lot like the external packages are the problem.
Rompect··on Workplace Wellbeing Is a Scam?
I agree completely. As someone who is a "loner", these "perks" of a workplace are actively an argument against it.

Just let me choose how and with whom I spend my time, thanks.

Rompect··on Use Alacritty instead of Termite
You can fix this by setting the following values in .config/alacritty/alacritty.yml:

    env:
      TERM: xterm-256color
Another way is described here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Alacritty#Terminal_function...
Rompect··on Deep Diving into the Strengths of FreeBSD
How do ZFS snapshots compare to LVM snapshots? Question not specifically for, but anyone who might know something about this.
Rompect··on AI Dungeon public disclosure vulnerability report
I showed it to some friends and after the introduction "You are a princess in Larion, a knight approaches..." the first thing one entered was "fuck the knight".
Rompect··on AI Dungeon public disclosure vulnerability report
Looking at the r/AIDungeon subreddit, it is quite obvious that virtually every user seems to use it for porn.
Rompect··on 30 Years of Linux: An Interview with Linus Torvalds
*This is an ad.*
Rompect··on 4chan founder Chris Poole has left Google
I wish there was a mainstream site which has 4chan anonymity and fast pace + reddit thread format. Both become hardly usable with either elitism, censorship and people who think upvotes matter or an absolute cancer to follow conversations in threads.
Rompect··on How to find a job as Software Developer in Germany
Literally "Who would build the roads" lmao
Rompect··on How to find a job as Software Developer in Germany
Number 2 de facto doesn't happen in the US.
