It seems they forgot Second Life... I'm still trying.

This reminds me of an old PS1 game I have serious nostalgia for: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tail_of_the_Sun

Makes me think of the quote (paraphrased): "Your reach should always exceed your grasp." To me it feels like you are tamping down your maximum reach.

I get the sentiment, but I do not agree at all... similar to putting fences around all the coastlines of the world, I would rather just teach my children to swim.

I had to go back and make sure what was being said was actually the case which now makes me question what one does with all that latency time... just sit and breath and try not to totally freak out? I don't want to come off as too crass on this, but this type of self-regulation is just totally missing the mark (unless I'm missing something here).

It's like being "burned to recognition"... you totally would be with that face paint.

Amen. Imagine having to pay people to answer phones _more_ money.

Isn't a large part of Twitter owned by Saudi interests?

Yeah, they need to update that setting to "Data Harvesting Mode".

This is fallout with the idea of "mobile-first" development... while I get that it caters to a larger demographic, it is blinded by its own crapulence in regards to _functional_ UI/UX.

Yet people pine for Net Neutrality.

The narrative of the trans person is what whatever he or she decides, I've noticed.

Still a little sleazy... Reminds me of something like:

"10 easy payments of 15 dollars!" Also, do you really want Google owning even more of the internet?

You're probably correct. Given the amount of mental energy you need to dump into a game to win against your opponent is high, albeit short lived. These bursts of cerebral fortitude can be exhausting and annoying if you are the loser (which there always will be one of).

Given that risk to reward I can totally see why more gentile games like MMOs, Minecraft, hell even MOBAs have taken over. They are a lot easier to slide into (and out) at every skill level, which also equates to more money to the developers due to a lowering of the bar.

That's exactly my point.

She hasn't questioned my morality, though.

I suspect most siding with her would stop once they actually need to carve into their own way of life. I've seen many environmentalist types care about the environment so long as it is not directly impacting theirs... It makes it easy to evangelize while being on the absolute upper crust of humanity.

This spurns an interesting question: When is something of your own free will?

Disregard the subject matter for a moment, if you will, but if someone has been subtly indoctrinated enough (or a madman is fully convicted in his beliefs), are they truly their own?

You're right. Tight nationalistic control of all markets is the only rational way to ensure sanity.

That seems like a really clumsy way of pretending to be in a free market.

I'm sure the Tesla in space has Black-Hole-Avoidance™️ technology at least.

Let's see Paul Allen's card.

This is going to push the dick-pic game to a whole new level.

Site is broken... welp, back to surfing porn!

Is overclocking (at this level based on this form factor) really worth it? Sure, the speed increases are notable, but I can't see much benefit to overclocking (specifically a pi) unless you are trying to increase game emulator performance or something.

This is all probably moot if you're planning on using the pi for an actual third world type setting as a workstation for schools and such, I suppose.

Imagine the flocks of dead birds around their house.

I'm glad I've held off for this long... almost time to jump in!

It's just to keep track of them to make sure they are safe... some even like the idea of being tracked at all times because it's so comforting and leads to a feeling of security!

Remember Windows 8? BARF!

How about that ol' apostasy?

I'd be willing to say Islamic extremism is worse than white supremacy.

That was a very boring article.
