I think it's interesting that you fear a hypothetical future of "undeserving youth abusing the welfare system" more than the current reality of "undeserving youth not getting the help they need and dying in the streets". You might wanna double-check your math on that value system you're using.
I think you should spend more time pointing out the ways the different UIs could be improved or even by mocking up some designs that DO have taste. It might help make your point better than just showing us ugly Enterprise screenshots.
Typo: "It is easy to burry[bury] utility under the beautiful picture."
I think the chunks definitely help with being able to feel very full after drinking it. Maybe I'm just not letting it mix/soften well enough before going for it. I'll do more experimenting!
I have a bag of Huel in my kitchen gathering dust because I just couldn't get past the consistency of it(the little chunks of oats or whatever). Also the name reminds me of "Human Gruel" meanwhile everyone I say it to immediately thinks "Human Fuel", which I think is amusing. I guess my brain burned the connection to those two words after trying the stuff for a couple weeks!
I'm planning on moving to Thailand for a bit after surviving two years of cubicle life. Would love to connect with fellow hackers while I'm there! Could you help me out?
I was using this heuristic for a while and then realized i hadn't left the house in 3 weeks... SO it might not be the best thing for serial introverts.
People get lots of different jobs for lots of different reasons, some of which include money. I think your fellow citizens deserve a stronger consideration for their morals, choices, and concerns than that of a faceless, sociopathic megacorp like Facebook.
I understand the mechanics of the different races(Zerg for life) and you're right that it would completely remove the current "map selection meta" which I would consider as an important strategic part of the series games.
Procedurally generated but still symmetrical maps would actually be really interesting. It would be like having a new battleground to explore every match without giving an advantage to either side.
I've been thinking along these exact lines lately too! Giving a boost to solopreneurs who can churn out 6-10 MVPs a year and then accelerating the projects that survive into a growth stage. Do you know of anyone already doing anything similar?
I actually think this is a really amazing demo and am excited about the possibilities of this kind of "high efficiency" interface. I'm imagining it as a first step towards the next stage of machine-learning-powered workflow tools. This demo might even be the first step to higher efficiency character animation for game dev shops!
The tracing box as a UI is very interesting too. I haven't seen it used very often but it looks powerful and flexible. Keep up the great work!
Wow this is an idea that I hadn't even considered before! That any smart contract is just a little piece of code with an API and an Ether cost. I'm getting so many ideas for cryptokitty horse racing...
The Syfy show Incorporated seems more like the direction we are currently heading: climate refugees living in "Red Zones" while megacorp employees live in the "Green Zones".
I normally use Evernote but its been getting very slow on my phone(2-8 seconds before i can input my text) so I was thinking of writing a simple bot for Telegram that would log my messages and set cron-like reminders. I guess i would search it by sending something like "/s words to be searched for" Is that something you would use?
I was running into this issue with a "task reminder bot" running through facebook messenger since I would be off from work on a thursday or something an it would still nag me about work tasks. Do you think it would be better to have an option for "Work Day Routine" vs "Day Off"?
I agree with you that it "should be", but the fact remains that currently isn't. "Investment" and "Consumer" might be tainted words for you but they are accurate descriptions for our current system. So shouldn't students make their massive life decisions based on the current reality of the education system rather than some imaginary future-state thats more "fair"?
