Rayzar··on Do Cryptocurrencies Provide ANY() Real-Economic Value at All?
If you, like some of us, live in a country where the government of the day can seize your bank accounts because of your political views, storing your assets as crypto has real-economic value.
Rayzar··on Show HN: Postmake – A directory of tools and resources for your projects
Brilliant! Thank you for putting this together
Rayzar··on Ask HN: What has the past 12 months taught you?

  * There is life after failing at a startup
  * When building a business, being organized matters more than being smart
  * Most things in life work out better when taken one step at a time, no matter how slow it feels
  * Things happen in life all the time. It gets easier when you can identify the ones you can change, which ones you can only change slightly and which ones you have no control over
Rayzar··on PG on finding cofounders and being a strong team
What if you have a friend whom you've known for about 12 years, has stuck with you through some dicey times, you've worked with on a few things and trust and respect completely, is keen on the idea of a start-up and has a pretty good business sense and gets things done, But he's not passionate about technology. What would you advice?

Truly disturbing, makes you wonder what other effects of pollution are out there that we won't get to see until it's too late.

What are your thoughts on social entrepreneurship?
Rayzar··on Ask HN: Are there any good hacker mentors out there?
Thank you very much for your comment, your experiences by far put my situation into perspective. I have to admit that I was a bit naive in my approach to the whole idea of having a good mentor or working with someone I respect in this field and its good to see that with the right approach and a show of commitment and interest in the project on my part will go a long way. I also have to add that I am overwhelmed by the responses this post has attracted so far and I appreciate all your opinions on the matter, please keep them coming, cheers!
Rayzar··on Ask HN: Are there any good hacker mentors out there?
Thank you for your comment. In retrospect I may not have adequately detailed the work I have done so far, so that explains the responses. On the other hand though, sometimes its not just about the programming aspect of a project, for instance, if I have an idea for an app that I want to develop, but my technical skills limit me, it would be nice to have people to bounce the idea off and have it implemented. In short, great projects are made up of good product vision and adequate technical skills to implement it, some people have the two skill sets while in other cases its not that easy to bring two different people with the complementing skills together.
Rayzar··on "But how will Google ever make money? There's the rub."
Wow, this is a great find. I bet whoever wrote it painfully had to swallow his words as the years passed and Google became what it is today. It just shows that with the right strategy and ideas, any startup can unsettled an established field and come out tops.
Rayzar··on Y Combinator: Party Like it's 2009
This is great news for all aspiring founders out there, at least some of now have a bit more time time to prepare our applications and hopefully our chances will be better due to the higher number of startups that will be funded.
