Okay which planet internet is this author living on? I regularly follow two cybersecurity blogs, two science fiction blogs and a photography blog? Searching for an hour and not finding any blogs? Credibility evaporated with that sentence.
Trello has been advertising a lot on some podcasts that I listen to and I was considering using them. Sorry about the problems you are having - good luck with getting them resolved and thank you for posting this as I just crossed Trello off the consideration list :-(
The twitter account doesn't back this up with a source - the OP here doesn't back this up this up with a source - my quick Google search doen't back this up, this may be true, but in this day and age WTF people? why is this number one without any verification?
I use the radio in my car probably less than 1 percent of the time Im driving. Most of the time I'm listening to streaming media podcasts, soundcloud etc so why do all the accident reports stress DATA streaming on the phone like that isn't pretty normal these days? Clearly doesn't mean texting and driving although even texting can be done purely hands on wheel eyes straight ahead just using voice - its like the press is still living in 2002 not 2020.
Created a system that took report requests from a mainframe and ran then on a PC version of the system (saving the company more than double my salary every year). When the IT application support was outsourced (big 3 letter mainframe and PC computer company). The contracted cost per year to support the system that I wrote and up till then was still maintaining was 5 times my annual salary - companies have their own weird logic.
and yet you're still lining up to use Google? I dropped out of the Google ad system many tears ago when I realized the game was rigged (in their favor) and the only way to "win' was not to play. So when I read stories like yours which pop up frequently for Google - I cant help but think you're probably an intelligent person so "what's your point?"
and yet the lemmings continue to flock to the adsense cliff and follow each other over it. I dropped adsense ten? years ago - I dont have an FB account and I'm not tart now. It may not seem that way to the lemmings but Google and FB are NOT the internet (they just very very good at exploiting it).
Sorry for the bad Karma but seriously this is 2019. If the OP hasn't seen a zillion other stories like this about Apple, Google, Facebook et al the they clearly have $25,000 to burn so sorry OP but why bother posting this?
If your business model is dependent on someone else's service/store/website/slients then YOU DONT HAVE A BUSINESS you have AT BEST a franchise.
If you are carrying a phone and laptop out of the country in this day and age with all of the contents of your digital life on it then you're an idiot. Last couple of trips I used a postpaid phone and a cheap chromebook. They want the phone keep it. They want the laptop keep it. I sure as hell dont want it back after they've planted who knows what on it after their "investigation".
Hmm - seems like Amazon is now borrowing from the EBAY playbook. My EBAY usage is maybe one or two items in a year and rarely anything high-ticket. EBAY clearly favored sellers over buyers and after one or two run-ins with (a) leaving negative reviews for poor sellers and (b) fighting their policy where you had to wait a month before even filing for a refund - I left for Amazon prime. I'm probably going to drop Amazon prime at the end of this year.
I must be misunderstanding something - why would a standards group (or anyone with a functioning brain) accept a "secure" cipher standard developed by an organization who's foundation in part is to be able to break encrypted communications?
Back of the envelope calc says this is about the weight of say a dozen passenger cars or say 1 passenger car (weight) per month over a year? Doesn't sound like a major industrial operation to me and how many tons are STILL out there in old air conditioners and refrigerators that could be leaking?
I stopped buying windows and the MS Office suite years ago when Microsoft clearly stopped caring about its consumer base. As for this case, its unfair to Lundgren - should have had better lawyers - Microsoft is simply taking advantage of the best legal system money can buy to keep its shareholders happy
There were some studies converting audio to inaudible audio when sent over over pulsed microwaves. This would resolve the size and distance issues for the alleged device and the fact that this was at night and in bed could play into the original studies for using this tech.
I can think of two very specific (for me) use case. Kill weeds in driveway pavers / patios where anything growing green is fair game and a Poison Ivy extreme prejudice terminator. I don't want to use pesticides since I have dogs and enough land to see the occasional rabbit, turtle, garden snake and I don't really want to harm them either.
HR works for the company. When you consider your moves keep in mind HR works for the company. You are not paying HR salaries. Get outside legal help and advice.
The technology is agnostic and can be used in ways not originally envisioned. What happens when every police appearance is captured and then run through say social media scans for 'ID' purposes?
