OSDeveloper··on Complete silence is always hallucinated as "ترجمة نانسي قنقر" in Arabic
Because they train on pirated media and or youtube videos, good method, until you get slop, or get caught
OSDeveloper··on SlugOS has a working PMM, VMM, and Heap allocator
The title explains most of it, I also have an ATA PIO (Polling Input Output is what it means at least I think) driver, I plan to get an initramfs next, any advice on what I should do?

Sidenote: Yes I know about the graphical glitch, not sure whats wrong, but the serial output is fine, so I just read from that for now, but I will fix it later (going to add it to the todo list)

OSDeveloper··on The importance of free software to science
And the pinky you lose
OSDeveloper··on C is not a low-level language (2018)
I would say it is only a low level language if it's a form of assembly or used in systems programming like Linux or OpenBSD or whatever else in the kernel land
OSDeveloper··on Show HN: My from-scratch OS kernel that runs DOOM
Hey unmapped (I am ThatOSDeveloper on GitHub and discord it's my display name) I never knew you got doom running on it, pretty cool, but I have a few questions, is it the original doom, is it on disk or an initramfs and do you use freedom or the shareware doom wad with the engine you use?
OSDeveloper··on Getting a Signal on the Moon: 4G network for lunar missions
Sorry you need to upgrade your plan for that.
OSDeveloper··on A hackable AI assistant using a single SQLite table and a handful of cron jobs
I think that projects like this are pretty smart, and I like little simple hacked-together things like this, most likely made in a weekend.
OSDeveloper··on Ask HN: Does any one know if Firebase is a successful from Google's perspective?
I suppose, but firebase is used in some applications, though of course a lot of them are just during testing, so assuming everyone was not like you they would make profit, but assuming a mix, they would make only a bit of profit, so it would be more like a small side project/nice feature that google provides that makes them a little bit of money.
OSDeveloper··on Peering into the Linux Kernel with Trace
This is a pretty interesting method to prove/debug the kernel on the fly
OSDeveloper··on Ask HN: Does any one know if Firebase is a successful from Google's perspective?
It is still used a lot by many hundreds of corporations and likely makes them profit, so I would assume yes.
OSDeveloper··on AmigaOS Updated in 2025
This is pretty cool that they still update such an old OS
OSDeveloper··on SDL2 for macOS 9 “rough draft”
I think it's amazing that we would have a new way to make apps running on macOS 9 systems since with a well known standard such as SDL2 we could make far more apps.
