NotThatFast··on One corner of China’s internet is insisting that the Tang Dynasty never existed
Was he reading Neal Adams?

I have to admit - Expanding Earth is hard to debunk!

I think because like Flat Earth many of the observations and elements therein are accurate - they just get the overall picture wrong.

Like stealing the ball with 4 sec left running down the court no defense in sight for the winning layup and missing - comically bouncing off the backboard.

Alas, I believe most crackpots mean well, they just aren’t very good at the sport

I just read the theory and I’m now a believer.

It’s only 1729! Let’s goo, I mean:

Come on ye lads!

You are 100% correct and yet the masses still prefer it.

World’s a twisted place!

I would guess the average Gmail user doesn’t know that it reports virtually all iCloud as Spam - believing instead that it’s genuinely being filtered by quality engineering at Google.

One of the best things about it. Also being able to add several emails per custom domain for free.

Whole thing is 99c a month. Makes Gmail seem like a joke in comparison.

Until you get an email from an iCloud address on Gmail and see it go right to spam haha. Suddenly Gmail is cheap again

NotThatFast··on Show HN: See how much your AI knows about you
What is this “your AI” you speak of?

Are people logging in and volunteering their identity with every query?

Even if you’re not paranoid about tracking and retargeting, I find the experience is actually better when it knows less about the user.

Same is true of YouTube’s algorithm - you can get to a point with an account you can’t find anything. It’s the same dozen or so videos it seems like.

And then you log out and it’s a huge internet again
