If what you are saying was true, there would be some sort of evidence. Plus musicians/pop stars are very different from Official corporate twitter.

DMs are almost worthless; who uses DMs for anything important? It's for contacting people you kinda know but not really. State secrets aren't transitted over DM, but not because people wouldn't be stupid enough to do it. the people holding them are much older than the demographic that uses Twitter DMs. Worst case with DMs is some new YouTuber drama would be exposed.
The government doesn't have this money, they are borrowing it. Debt levels are increasing like we are in wartime [1] but there is a massive negative impact on jobs, not a positive one like in a war. I have seen more than one person echo this sentiment and I wish people acctually understood where this money is coming from before complaining.
(Yes I know the quote also talks about essential workers not getting more, which I can agree the distribution is skewed incorrectly)

I don't know how long an amendment would delay the bill, but depending on the time period an argument could be made that this was intentional. Yes, if this was going to delay the bill a few weeks, it probably was just rejected to get it out, but if it would be a few days I think it would be reasonable to consider it.

I felt it was wrong because I was concerned about SQL injection, but my professor really didn't care about security so I wasn't too too concerned. Later on my professor mentioned that pre-compiled statements (I think that's what they are called) and I facepalmed because that would have been way more secure and been 5x easier anyways.
So yea, I guess they still are giving bad advice.
I'd especially like to know for c++.
Google doesn't seem to realize it's not easy getting your friends who aren't techheads to move from one platform to another, so in order to switch I have to know this isn't going to die soon. Untill then I'll stick with hangouts/skype. Why couldn't they just keep the hangouts branding? I have no idea, its kind stupid.
(Also yes, I know hangouts is going to die. But it hasn't yet and that's what all my friends already know about.)
Name literally anything on the Amazon store, and I can come up with a reasonable senerio where someone could legitimately need it. P
Knowing Java runs in a VM very much affects how you have to code. Sure, when you are learning in a 100/200 level class it doesn't, but by the time you graduate if you don't understand the implications, that is bad. Why not make a very simple change early on that gives context for students later on? We shouldn't be teaching students that Java runs in a virtual machine in a 200/300 level class, by that time we should have moved on to why that matters.
Forcing students to continually use java/javac will make them start learning the concepts on how a computer actually processes their program. It makes them think a bit more about it and the concepts are not foreign when they learn it in a full class. The IDE just turns the whole process into a single button with little context.
For instance I'm sure there are tons of serious terrorist threats that the government has prevented, but when one acctually happens, everyone complains how the government doesn't know what to do about terrorists. I'm definitely not saying they shouldnt have prevented it....just be aware of the bias.
