Damn, what a way to go.
NetOpWibby··on Jeff – Jev-compatible 0.8B decision models, trained at home, ~30 ms
Blows my mind that Jeeves never came back as an AI model. Even if it's poor quality, it'd still be better than Google.
NetOpWibby··on Should Developers Design?

Design, the practice deemed worthless two decades ago via the tired meme “should designers code?” is now the only way to prove your humanity (and worth?) in the age of slop.

I agree with you though, ChronVer all the way.

I need something like this. Would be nice if there was a randomizer.

This looks pretty cool! I love TypeScript. Although for my server-side apps, I just use Deno and compile my executable that way.

I have pondered cloning Caddy in TypeScript just because...would Zena be capable of this?

I made a database[1] a few months ago and now I'm beginning work on a Github replacement (for me). Here's what I'm thinking for the UI[2]. I'm not trying to have feature-parity out the gate, I just want something that doesn't give me the ick. I self-host public repos with cgit but that's too basic and there's no built-in support for private repos.

The existing Github alternatives...look like someone drawing Github from memory.

This is fascinating. No agents or larping humans signed up yet. I'd imagine that the frontier labs would find a site like this and explicitly ban access to it (in addition to their SKILLs pleading with their LLMs).
NetOpWibby··on Customizing my Compaq MX-11800 keyboard
The mobile design is compromised as hell, it looked worse before.

I could probably figure out a way to make mobile work with some time but I don't care enough for my blog. It's just Markdown docs and some styling.

Funny thing is, my cat was actually out of shot but he pulled himself closer to me (while laying on his side) so I just kept him in, haha!

I'm working on something like this with Dap[1] (full disclosure, I used to be heavy into the Handshake[2] ecosystem). Where previous alt-roots failed is having nothing to build on it. Lots of marketing about how "things will be different" this time while providing nothing in the way of getting developers building experiences atop this new naming system.

Claiming your root is more secure isn't enough, what can people DO with it and WHY should they care? I've ranted enough about this to deaf ears over a half decade to no avail. Even if Dap doesn't end up being the first credible alt-root, I do hope something appears and is not immediately linked to (objectively) illegal/evil activity.
