Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
Please reach out at founders@skillsync.com, have updated it on the website - thanks for pointing this out!

Yes it is deterministic, there's no ai here. Everything is retained including tool calls, reasoning and handed off to the other agent

Would love to know more about the study, can you tell me how you went about it?

can you explain what you mean by turn identifiers? It does allow you to audit the sessions and build your own systems on top after translation

Interesting, I love pi too!
Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
ok
Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
Yeah I like how you have controls on how much of the conversation you want to bring into the next session!
Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
Yeah understandable, with skillsync you can choose for it to proactively tell you about past work that's related to what you're doing or just access all your past sessions via mcp. It's like being a musician that has the record button on the whole time for when the crazy idea strikes

Fun fact, skillsync works with all kinds of chats :)

> because a colleague being able to ship a session where they iterated on such a skill, to a colleague who can understand the context of their change, is incredibly valuable

This is interesting, I've noticed some teams where the power users (usually the ones creating most of the skills) ship an additional skill to help users update their existing skills. This 'update' skill asks them questions to understand the user's context before actually updaing the skill

Yes you can also ssh into your machines and sync all of those sessions too. Check out the + icon on the left side bar on the desktop app!
Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
btw we also have an agent in the mac app that lets you analyze your sessions in all kinds of ways
Narsagna··on Launch HN: Skillsync (YC W26) – AI chat sessions made portable across agents
Cool! Over here we mean portability in a different sense: being able to continue a session in another agent as if the entire conversation history was there the whole time. You should not get locked into one agent simply because you built up a conversation history + memory with that agent

Also curious, do you further process the synced files on dropbox at all? how are you using them today?

Nars here, one of the co-founders. With longer sessions, the receiving agent sometimes decides to compact it. But the whole transcript still exists and is accessible
Narsagna··on Unnecessary Git Quiz
Maintainer here, this is the actual quiz we gave our new joinees while onboarding :)

Hyperswitch is on a mission to build payment infrastructure that serves billions of people at scale - a utility like water or electricity
Narsagna··on Show HN: World Engine – Build Worlds Like Brandon Sanderson
True, still trying to fix that! Need to figure out how to implement 'show don't tell' with GPT

Thanks for the feedback (I'm a collaborator)

- We were thinking ideally the selection menu should take text input but parked that for later

Also the visualise buttons get enabled as soon as you hit generate button for the corresponding block!

Narsagna··on Add PayPal to your Stripe integration
It probably comes down to how many have actually added their cards to GPay and Apple pay, best to experiment and check if adding paypal improves your conversions
Narsagna··on Add PayPal to your Stripe integration
> I also like not having a single payment provider have the ability to cut off my revenue if some kind of issue arises

How are you going about this currently? Have you integrated Paypal separately or do you have any other processor along with stripe?

Narsagna··on Ask HN: What are some low cost payment processing alternatives to Stripe?
Hyperswitch is free to use for the first 10k transactions of the month. After that it costs $0.04 per transaction. It is a payment switch that comes pre integrated with major processors. So as a merchant your business relationship with processors like Stripe or Adyen remains the same (I'm affiliated with this product)
Narsagna··on I won't pay on your website
I've seen some sites use Google maps API to suggest your exact address, pretty cool
Narsagna··on I won't pay on your website
I think there is a strong relationship between the average ticket size and payment experience. It is almost like it is the user's problem if the ticket size is high (hence the website need not necessarily invest in creating a good payment experience). Something like insurance websites.

The ones that really seem to think about the payment experience are the ones that have low to medium average ticket size and high transaction volumes. It is in the website's best interest to ensure each and every transaction goes through

Narsagna··on I won't pay on your website
Stripe's link has a similar experience

Narsagna··on The Silver Bullet to Reduce Payment Processing Costs
True, it kind of depends on your current payment processor configuration.

For example if you find yourself in the need of accepting too many payment methods, you'll definitely benefit from the difference in fees for each method across processors

It also depends on your business focus. If you do not have the bandwidth to think beyond your core business, you might just be well off with a single processor

Narsagna··on The Silver Bullet to Reduce Payment Processing Costs
Currently do you use multiple processors though?
