Naijoko··on Jimmy Carter has died
How did Lyndon B Johnson not make your list? Beside the Vietname war he seems like the best President for innerpolitics.
Naijoko··on Styles of Furniture
My Grandmother , 96 years old, got her Furniture from her Grandmother. That furniture is more then 100 years old and still in good condition. The downside is it sucks hard. People at that time liked good looking things that where rly uncomfortable and impractible compared to furniture today.
Naijoko··on Mindfulness interventions for teens decrease mindfulness, study finds
wow the whole site is only pushing bullshit science. Its worth to click a bit on the other articles. Seems like an AI generated website.
Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
hey thanks. I also had the impression/
Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
ok thats true and that does work. But the system in the background is a mess.
Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
In germany we have this allready but it doesnt work. It reduce the problem. But the real problem is ER. In a life death situation it doesnt work. ER are very hard to keep clean. But yes you are absolutly right

EDIT:// I am no doctor but did work in Hospitals. Doctor friends working in ER are telling me about those dangers. And also bigger Hospitals have less control about it.

Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
"Responding to the request below for a specific example. Hand washing, you wash your hands when medically appropriate to prevent facility acquired infections. If you don't you are progressively warned ultimately leading to termination and/or loss of license. If instituted nationally this alone would save at least 5,000 lives a year. Good luck getting it instituted at most facilities."

Sad thing is most staff in hospital doesnt wash hands. Reality is it would cost so much time. Handwashing is like a minute and staff has to go in an out of rooms where hand washing is needed so many times an hour it would slow everything down. And then trying to fire staff about this is not real because this would kick out half of it and it isnt replaceble. The problem is more why has staff to get in and out of stations so frequently. And multiresitence bacteria.

Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

This is a joke. We want to have this but its like everything in germany if its about something digital. Its a fucking mess. Everyone can read it. Most doctors dont use it and even many insurance dont use it... its a fucking mess

Naijoko··on Everyone hates the electronic medical record
"99,000 americans a year die from hospital acquired infections that are entirely preventable using procedures and operations (not surgeries) that are known and evidentially proven. It's just really hard to get all of the parts of the orchestra to play the same tune so those people die needlessly."

??? I dont get this. The problem are Antibiotic resistant bacteria. You go to a Hospital (ER) and have a open wound.. chances are you die of an infection. How is this preventable??? This is a big problem atm and there is no good solution. you cant test people if they come in bleeding like hell for Resistant bacteria. I mean you can but ... I would like to hear the solution to that problem. Thank you.

Naijoko··on Why are things expensive?
Isnt the whole point of economical growth that m2 will be more money than m0? Isnt it increasing by trade?
Naijoko··on Why are things expensive?
For example the price of Art is judged by the buyer. There is no production cost or whatever.
Naijoko··on How Africans are changing French, one joke, rap and book at a time
I speak fluent german and french. And I think yes. French has way less words then german or english. And for many things we dont have words but more desciptions. And french feeles more compressed in the sense that I cant take any word out of the sentence without taking the sense away. In english and German broken sentences still make sense if the context is given.

And some words to Paris. Yes people there are rude! But you have to understand that most People in France live there and WORK there. They give a fuck about tourism because there is so much other work there the town could skip on it. Thats why they are anoid by tourists. They go to work and some people ask them for things they dont care because they have to go to work. Paris is a dream in Summertime because so many people leave Paris because of summer vacations that it is totaly empty.

And yes American tourists are something special. You can see them 100meter away beeing confused why Paris is building houses in such an old fashioned way.

Naijoko··on How Africans are changing French, one joke, rap and book at a time
hahaha .. I have to lough hard. That is so True. Many people in paris speak english but the only way to get them to speak it is by speaking bad french. And they hate you for that.
Naijoko··on How Africans are changing French, one joke, rap and book at a time
many languages have this feature. For example Russian or German. You can put in the words, with most words missing, in any order and somehow someone will get it. France cant do this. Why... I dont know why. Maybe because the are more desciptive.
Naijoko··on Chimera Linux
isnt the macos system called NOT UNIX ? ^.^
Naijoko··on How Africans are changing French, one joke, rap and book at a time
I am French .. and yes people in Paris are rude. Thats the running joke in France that nobody likes them. If the dont work there they invade the rest of france and remember us how annoying they are. And yes the rest of France is awesome and totaly helpfull and nice to strangers.
Naijoko··on 'Greedflation' study finds many companies were lying to you about inflation
how would you do this with a microscope? Would you watch all blood flow through it and then check for microchips? Sounds interesting.
Naijoko··on 'Greedflation' study finds many companies were lying to you about inflation
Blackrock owns some part of everything
Naijoko··on Tinnitus linked to undetected auditory nerve damage
for all people who have tinnitus or the tinnitus is worse because of a visit by the dentist. I have tinnitus and it got much much worse when I got a filling. The reason is they have to make the filling the height of the teeth that was there bevore. even half a mm more can make your jaws clinch and you get tinnitus. My luck I fund another Dentist who took this seriously and took some of the filling away so my jaw didnt clinch anymore... and bam my tinnitus was back to normal. only a little anectode that could help.

The first dentist did deny that it did came from the filling and the other one did say thats new to him and he will study on this and see me next week urgently. A week later he said it could be and we should try it ... many many many thanks to that doctor without him I would maybe killed myself

Naijoko··on Tinnitus linked to undetected auditory nerve damage
No. Many people got it because of burn out stress for example.
Naijoko··on Tinnitus linked to undetected auditory nerve damage
there is also this similar project from the EU https://www.regainyourhearing.eu/ this is very interesting. They put hair regrowth stuff in the ear
Naijoko··on Tinnitus linked to undetected auditory nerve damage

Naijoko··on A fridge from 70 years ago has better features than the fridge I own now

Naijoko··on A fridge from 70 years ago has better features than the fridge I own now
how could it be the consumer if the Industry did fake good products since the begining of time? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence
Naijoko··on A fridge from 70 years ago has better features than the fridge I own now
if consumers are the problem. Where can I buy one of those fridge that works for 50 years? Seems like the market is missing quality good.... could this be the problem?
Naijoko··on Mandatory helmet laws make cyclists less safe
This Articel is bullshit. Helmets make cyclist more safe. It only reduces the total number of cyclist. And because of that there is less investment in cycling infrastructure. But the scientific articel they are linking to says following

" Do more people on bikes cause cycling to become safer, or does safer infrastructure attract more people to bike? There’s no conclusive evidence either way, but the answer is probably a mix of both. "

So full blown clickbait...

Naijoko··on Ask HN: Has anyone come up with a use for blockchain yet?
ok didnt know that. But honstly I blindly asume that the capacity/cost ratio is still way higher compared to a non Blockchain system with same conditions. Thats generaly the problem. There are many solutions for a problem but there isnt a problem where blockchain and crypto are the best solution. They are mostly on the worse side of solutions....
Naijoko··on Ask HN: Has anyone come up with a use for blockchain yet?
here I quote from wikipedia

>>A hash chain is similar to a blockchain, as they both utilize a cryptographic hash function for creating a link between two nodes. However, a blockchain (as used by Bitcoin and related systems) is generally intended to support distributed consensus around a public ledger (data), and incorporates a set of rules for encapsulation of data and associated data permissions.

So a Blockchain is only a configuration of a hashchain. So we have to make clear that blockchain is only a fancy name and nothing realy special. There are a shitload of different setups of hashchains and they mostly have no fancy name, as far as I know. Everyone with the skill can make whatever with hashchains and call it whatever.. Trianglechain.... NextgenQuantumsuperchain...ChainChain... whatever... So if the basic question is, do hashchains have real use cases? Most certainly. But I am to lazy to google.

Or does the configuration of a hashchain called blockhcain does have a real use. Atm Crypto but as far as I know some banks and supply chains and IBM tried to find problems for blockchains, but failed. Even if highly controverse, the german goverment wants to put things like the passport, diplomas and drivers licence on the blockchain. I think somehow IBM is involved. But is more or less that they want to try to sell that shit. But its not p2p whatever, only a Databank that is a blockchain.. at the end it will be a better database. Maybe a hashchain. Btw it did allready fail for the vaccines passport. They wanted to but that into 5 blockchains. At the end it was a central database, maybe a merkle tree or similar.

Naijoko··on Ask HN: Has anyone come up with a use for blockchain yet?
you are aware that a NFT is only a stored link to a picture on a server? Why would that have any use ever?
