There is bid price, ask price, and last sale price.
Do they indicate "value" to the specific people making those transactions, bids and asks? Sure. Does it have to be the same for everybody? No, and that's why trade happens.

Isn't that what the IRS very much does?
You're moving the risk to your "friends".
Or more likely, to a bunch of mules you found on the internet who want to believe that they have a job sending money back and forth.
Some people want to conflate it. Don't let them.
Don't let them compare the trust-fund kid who built a business to the non-trust-fund kid who didn't build a business.
Compare them to the trust-fund kid who didn't even try to build anything and ended up writing sad opinion pieces against the unfairness of it all.
If you can see them far away it doesn't mean they are not also close by and you can't see them.
You should update "there are aliens close by" to a much higher probability
That banks can create as much money as they want, without limit?
Or that, even if the bank has a hard limit to how much they can loan out to the amount they hold in reserves in the central bank, what counts as money being created into the wider economy is the act of making a new loan for a customer?
One is way more boring, technical and unsurprising than the other.
Not saying anything about it, or saying "I don't know what that's about" sound like OK choices to me.
From "Green new deal" type stuff, where technical solutions don't count because rich people would still be richer than poor people or something, to the new "degrowth" strategy which barefacedly tells us we need to be worse off, be fewer, or both.
Why? Because these activists are rich, bored, and useless. And playing polo and buying fast cars is not an acceptable use of their time anymore, no, now they compete between themselves to see who saves the world the hardest.
Don't look for any logical explanation, go to the eschatological ones and you'll have better luck.
You'll find out because you're now an enlightened immortal being, or you won't find out at all because the thermonuclear blast (or the engineered plague, or the terminators...) killed you and everybody else.
Does that mean there won't be some enterprising fellas who will hook up a chat prompt to some website thing? And that you can demo something like "Add a banner. More to the right. Blue button under it" and that works? Sure. And when it's time to fiddle with the details of how the bloody button doesn't do the right thing when clicked, it's back to hiring a professional that knows how to talk to the machine so it does what you want. Not a developer! No, of course not, no, no, we don't do development here, no. We do prompts.
So yes, please, more pedantry now, to prevent any more attempts at "narrative drift"
Stealing non-securities you're supposed to store for me is also a crime.
Also you wouldn't see any eggs, and you wouldn't be making any conclusions based on seeing any eggs because it would be your neurons un-firing that would cause your eyes to emit photons at the egg. Wouldn't it? Or... what? Is that seeing?
If everything goes backwards, isn't that the same as going forwards?
The whole question and answer never made any sense to me. Seems like a lot of words to say nothing.
Usually I would say that the problem is I don't understand, but more and more I'm seeing that people just don't know, but like to pretend they know.
Some people think they find an answer, run with it, becomes a meme, and that's it. "The arrow of time goes forward because we see eggs break".
I hope there's at least a couple physicists somewhere that do truly understand it. But the rest, the egg-breakers, I don't know.
