MoneyLovesSpeed··on Ask HN: Is Opus 5.5 another step change?
20h with no input is insane

at that point the hard part is just trusting it didnt quietly go off track somewhere imo

MoneyLovesSpeed··on My Thoughts on AI and LLMs
the no real time learning part is still weird to me u can talk to a model for hours and it doesnt actually become smarter from that convo
MoneyLovesSpeed··on GPT-6 Astra Solves a WWI German Radio Cipher
the weirdest part is that the key wasnt even supposed to be used yet and somehow the decoded message still matches the real ship logs lol
MoneyLovesSpeed··on In 2024 I fine-tuned an LLM. Jev could have removed the side quests
the $3.47 is cool but not having to rebuild everything every time you change what "good" means seems way bigger
MoneyLovesSpeed··on FinOps for LLM – Leanroute Team wrote a blog
the part about lower spend not always meaning better optimization is pretty important, sometimes you just had less traffic lol
MoneyLovesSpeed··on Diagnosing schizophrenia is tricky. Can AI help?
kinda scary if AI gets used for stuff like this I wouldnt trust a diagnosis from just a few mins of talking
MoneyLovesSpeed··on Ask HN: 3.5 inch diskette read errors, would a period correct drive do better?
thats wild, didnt know it was that common kinda funny to call it a standard if ppl still couldnt reliably read each others disks lol
MoneyLovesSpeed··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash is now available for internal beta testing
speed matters way more than ppl think tbh

id take a slightly worse model thats 2x faster for most product use cases

MoneyLovesSpeed··on Ask HN: 3.5 inch diskette read errors, would a period correct drive do better?
kinda crazy that just switching drives can make an unreadable disk readable makes me wonder how many old floppies got written off as dead when it was really just an alignment mismatch
