Mascobot··on Long Live the 'GPU Poor' – Open-Source AI Grants
Thanks for all the work Jeremy! There's a large community of folks that have been learning from you, the Fast.ai community and your work. Super excited for this grant!
Mascobot··on MicroPython – Python for Microcontrollers
I agree. Using MicroPython in medical applications is with all due respect worrisome. It's not meant to be for crucial tasks and definitely not optimal at all for MCUs. It's really meant to be for simple, hobby applications. It's too high-level (synonym of inefficient) for MCUs. C and Assembly are the way to go for these critical applications (that's why NASA & SpaceX use C and assembly in embedded electronics). Reliability, repeatability and fast performance is key.
Mascobot··on Y Combinator Failed Startups
This list seems to be a biased list. I thought the list was first in descending order (funding), but it's not. Some super early stage startups were picked for some reason in the bottom section?

To clarify: by numbers, the vast majority of startups fail, and that's part of trying new things until one of them works great. I know multiple founder friends that had 1-3 *big failures before they built a great company after that.

Mascobot··on TikTok reveals details of how its algorithm works
Well, this is not really "revealing" anything new on "TikTok algorithms".

This is actually a very simple description of a very basic methodology. Not an algorithm.
