This book says basically - no biggie, there is no death, you commit suicide to move to another level to be with your brother, you can't lose him, you have infinite lives in this videogame called Life. And what if I F up the next level? no biggie, you just commit suicide again to be with him, there is no such thing as permanent death/separation from your loved ones, after each death you just move to another level. That's really F up thing to teach small kids, who should know death is permanent.
And what if I F up the next level? no biggie, you just commit suicide again to be with him, there is no such thing as death, after each death you just move to another level.
So there is no risk at all you will lose your brother/relative, very F up thing to teach the kids, exactly opposite from what should make them scared of dying which is PERMANENT and there is no next level, where you can be with your family again.

With Palestine vs Israel I would tend to call it a war since Palestine's own country was taken and it is occupied by different artifically created country, so I would say it is two countries at war.
Estonia has been a lone voice in opposing the EU's plans to restrict children's access to social media, instead calling for online platforms to change.
EU chief Ursula von der Leyen is expected to announce a social media ban on September 16, with officials saying an age limit of 13 or 15 is under discussion.
But IT-savvy Estonia argues the tech giants have prime responsibility for making their popular platforms safer for minors.
"As children are members of the information society, it's actually the platforms who should change," Estonian Justice and Digital Affairs Minister Liisa-Ly Pakosta said.
"The best interests and rights of the child must guide platforms' design, and that is useful for the whole society," she said in a video interview.
Pakosta pointed to the EU's content law known as the Digital Services Act (DSA) as one way for the bloc to demand platforms change.
She argues for instance that the EU's recommendations for platforms under the DSA to protect children online should be made legally binding.
The EU has already deployed the law to probe Meta's Facebook and Instagram as well as TikTok, and told the platforms to change their "addictive" designs.
too expensive (the good ones)
too noisy
requires canvas for good experience
requires dark enviroment for good experience
requires either wiring on ceiling/wall and drilling or extra furniture under TV (short throw)
double power consumption over TV
the only benefit really is the size, but nowadays you can buy 65-75" TV which is already pretty huge depending on your room, so I fail to see argument for projector unless you need super large screen which you intend to watch from big distance/outdoors in very late evening
they are probably right and I can certainly bet my money there are way way more cars in small EU country than there were 30 years ago (assuming you had her at least at 30, if later, then the difference will be even starker)
my kids school is ~1.1km walk, son is walking to/from school by himself maybe from 3rd grade (8.5yo) with classmate(s), I still walk my 4th grade (8yo) daugher to school in the morning (unreliable/inconsistent slow classmate living nearby), at least I get some exercise working from home (if I didnt have time to walk them and help them with backpacks I would probably let them go by themselves earlier)
the main reason I still walk her is crossing the road, because I consider Prague roads dangerous even for adult pedestrian, let alone for kid, too many crazies driving here cars
other big reason is heavy backpack when they have to lug tons of books/workbooks
on the way back they go home either with classmates or together already for years, used to pick them up only in 1st and maybe 2nd grade
Oh, I thought "Innocent until proven guilty" was concept known even in US, but apparently it didn't arrive there yet.
> Traditionally, this decision was made by humans, but now AI has taken over, and decides who gets hired
Btw. this would be illegal in EU, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.
it's like saying US has lowest income taxes compared to EU coutnries, but it won't tell you the whole picture what is paid from all those taxes you contribute in Europe, so in the end if you take into consideration all the things you will get for money you pay it can be very different if you have to pay everything extra with low taxes vs high taxes but many things included for free

same with groceries where statistical bureaues usually report some average prices nobody use to buy things for, when everyone buys all groceries in promotion and price in promotion vs regular price can be very different thing in different countries, so countries which have smaller difference between regular and promo price will appear cheaper, while countries where promo prices are much lower than regular prices will appear more expensive
big mac price you show in Czechia in local currency 115 CZK, while the real price is 125 CZK, I checked both restaurants nearby my house
but anyway I though you are talking about different bloat, like system bloated with features and Xiaomi apps, if we talk about preinstalled apps in general then yes, there are more of them, but same goes even for "clean" Pixel ROMs, all phones have in general way more apps than they used to
as for the apps, honestly never seen an app in Xiaomi system, just disable bunch of options in settings and you are good, doesnt require much hacking, just regular user available settings
if you dont like useless apps, especially the ones from Xiaomi, you can disable them through Shizuku + Canta, though need to be careful, some can cause bootloop, so always read description
there is no point recommending Nova Launcher for years, it is like recommending QuickPic...
I find Organic Maps working perfectly fine
as email client I would suggest abandoned Nine Mail, works fine without gapps
Weawow is great weather app with plenty of sources to choose fom
don't really understand your complaints, seems like you are using some slow budget motorola phone which is causing issues like Organic Maps you mention
btw. I dont have any banking apps either, I am perfectly fine with everywhere using bank card and just in case I carry small cash in wallet, if I need to send money I can do it from computer where I sit most of the days anyway, why would I be doing it somewhere outside apartment? that's like trimming your nails outside apartment, sure you can do it, but why it wouldn't wait for home?
"How to debloat your Xiaomi phone: Install Shizuku + Canta and read Canta descriptions"
that's all, much shorter and better readable than that horrible website
