In an hour, especially if you can get in an hour 5 days/wk of weights/stretching/cardio, combined with a good diet should keep you in shape and the weight off.
There is nothing that can force landlords who are too technophobic or just too lazy to post relevant photos, an exact address, and complete information to change their ways. Ver 2.0 of the apartment hunt may be coming, but not until Gen 2.0 are managing buildings.
Interesting. Same thing is happening with one of my colleagues. He let it be known that he is interviewing with other companies, so our HR department let him know that they are looking to replace him. He may be let go before he wants to go!
Location-based anonymous tasking with anonymous payment. Like a crowd sourced Wikileaks for professional information gatherers (journalists, videographers, photographers, audio recorders etc.). A global network to facilitate the buying and selling of all kinds of information.
Cable/IPTV companies are some of the last surviving tech dinosaurs. When will they wake up and tell the content providers that they will not carry their content bundled? A la carte channel selection is the only way I would ever have traditional TV in my home. Charge me $X.XX per channel and let me choose just the ones I want. I thought that IPTV would provide this, but the content producers are the kings.
Please define "professional courier". Do you mean local courier companies? I was wondering about insurance coverage (for items shipped and also for people doing the deliveries).

Now including discussion about large sensor video cameras, but started very niche for those of us interested in shooting video on DSLRs.
Take location-based tasking (Gigwalk etc.), make a professional version, figure out how to move hi-res images and hi-def video most efficiently between users and then smash it into Wikileaks by making users and payments anonymous. This would be a great tool for professional information gatherers.
I was 2 years into my search for seed funding for what some other guys launched as Gigwalk. I keep looking at GW to see what they are doing and it is not living up to the potential that I had imagined for it. I want someone to build a Gigwalk service that is aimed at professionals and also that allows the buying and selling of information with complete anonymity at both ends of the transaction. Tasks may be interviews, covert video or photos, translation of foreign texts - all aimed at professional journalists and information gatherers and all paying a lot more than current location based tasking chores.
Yes there is a future. Gigwalk for example is a great idea (I was raising seed cap for the same thing when they launched) but it could be about more than taking photos for websites. Create a competing product that enables the buying and selling of all types of information based on location and make sure that the users at both ends of the transaction can remain anonymous. Alternatively create a product that will allow professional photogs and videogs to be located if someone needs a stock image or clip from their location. Disrupt the stock image/footage industry. Again.
BenQ designed by BMW. I bought mine for $4.99 new on Best Buy's clearance site, but they are probably hard to find now. Here's a link to an image:

Go to HK. Travel whenever you have the opportunity and that is NOW. Graduate. Get a job with Cathay Pacific and fly free for the rest of your life. Good Luck!
I like CL with a few caveats. I've just finished 6 weeks of apartment hunting and I want a way to kill overposts with the click of a button (ie. if it has been posted daily for the past month then I want to see only ONE post). Likewise I want a way to filter out the idiots who post apartments outside of the city in which I live. And I would really like there to be an anonymous feedback loop to the original posters (not a throwaway email account) to tell them why I'm not prepared to pay $1500 per month for their one bedroom apartment.
I was thinking along those same lines - there is my beta, and in fact I was referred to another angel group just today. Instead of feeling discouraged, I feel great for all the reasons that you mentioned - $1.7 Million of investor validation in the idea. Thanks!
It would be interesting to see that numbers that equate with this, or with people who wish to have a FB business page so sign up with an empty personal page.
I agree. However I have learned not to mention the B word on HN - as I did recently in response to a large funding round for another service startup - lest I be downvoted into oblivion. I upvote this!
The entire ecosystem in which we all dwell seems to promote it as some kind of holy grail that we become "successful" by our mid-20s. However, there is SO much that one cannot know at that age. Is there any data on the ages of YC and other startup incubator attendees?
