Only if I need to in order to play whatever Bungie builds next - and it appears that Destiny will be available for XBox 360. The only reason I own an XBox is because of Halo, and because I had played every Bungie game since Pathways Into Darkness and would have purchased whatever console I needed in order to do so. I would like to know what others reasons are for ending up with whatever single console they own. What came first? The console or the game?
Every city benefits from a video store with a deep catalogue spanning all genres - including videos that are simply not available to rent/stream/purchase anywhere online because of licensing issues or copyright owner greed. I understand the Top 100 video stores closing. They are dinosaurs. But the long-tail of online content is not yet long enough to kill the video store completely. Yet.
That quote is a derivative of a long known anonymous quote, "It's easier to be finished, than to be satisfied". You can call it done whenever you want - or tweak it forever . . .
Where are you? In Canada you don't have to give ANY notice to leave. It is done out of consideration for your employer and their need to replace you before you leave.
I think the health results of daily excersize are a fringe benefit to the perseverance and dedication required to do so. Once you have perseverance and determination, you can DO anything.
Got to Tofino. Stay on Cox Bay. http://www.pacificsands.com/ I live in Vancouver and when I need to leave the concrete beast this is my favourite place.
I like this idea, and the others referenced, very much. I think there is a huge opportunity here for all photos (and eventually video?) that are geo-tagged. What I would like to see, and what would be valuable to journalists or media organizations would be a real-time stream based on geo-location. Simply: a map interface that I can choose a point on to see a real-time stream from (I should be able to select the "nearest" data (which might be best in remote locations) or define data based on a "radius" that I draw or otherwise define (which might be best for urban areas)). Imagine something happening somewhere and being able to see all the photos/videos from RIGHT THERE in real-time. Valuable?
Please build an application that will allow someone to click anywhere on a map of the world and view an aggregate stream of all photos and/or video uploaded/streamed at/from that location. Content should be available from any photo or video app. Streams should be from the nearest location (if it's remote), or radius defined (if it's an urban location).
Here, here! Quoting Linda Grant, "Dressing down, ubiquitously known as “being comfortable”, says that you don’t care about how you look, as if your appearance were an entirely private matter that has nothing to do with anyone else. It’s the exact opposite: what you wear is part of the visible environment, as relevant as the architecture, the decor, the food on the table, the scents in the air."
I like CL the way it is. They are finally implementing some changes to the way the site displays results and it is a welcome improvement. As a comparison, I think Kijiji is way too cluttered (by design and with ads) and clunky. IMHO only. Good luck.
The Nikon D2X has a voice memo function, but often there is no time to do this either. I would rather see someone develop an external RFID reader (http://www.icarte.ca/) that can dump RFID data (name, title, company) read off of a name tag INTO an appropriate metadata field in the camera.
