MagerValp··on Pixar's Chris Horne Sheds New Light on Monsters University
This came up in a discussion I had with a tech at Disney Animation. The biggest issue is actually getting the assets from the workstation over to the rendering farm. Since the assets for a single scene can be many gigabytes using someone else's far away render farm would be prohibitively slow.

This is probably the most common way to handle jump tables on the 6502. If you're writing ROMable code you'll have to use indirect jmp (vector) instead of selfmod. It's more efficient to split the jump table into two halves though, with the LSB in one table and the MSB in another, and access it like so:

        lda param_lo,y
        sta vector
        lda param_hi,y
        sta vector+1
  vector = * + 1
jmp $5e1f ; dummy address, written with selfmod

I read Zaks' book back when, but it was rather dry and these days I'd recommend Machine Language for the Commodore 64 by Jim Butterfield instead.

Yes, Western Design Center is selling the 65C02 in the classic 40-pin DIP package for about $5 a pop.

The last time I checked, which admittedly was almost 10 years ago, microcontrollers with embedded 6502 cores were quite popular with chinese toy manufacturers.

So maybe just define_opt('server.daemon'), with the rest given sane defaults and customizable as needed?

Interesting module nonetheless!

Incidentally, this is how AmigaDOS handled it and applications were expected to call ReadArgs() to deal with it:

Yes, please use Platypus instead, it'll save you a lot of trouble. The article's solution is very hackish and as you can tell from the comments you'll run into lots of issues.
MagerValp··on IKEA's New Catalogs: Less Pine, More Pixels
They want the catalog to look cheap though, and Verdana certainly helps with that…

The font nerd in me died a little bit when they switched.

MagerValp··on I'm Not Japanese
For some reason I tend to get Google's authentication pages in Hungarian (at least I think that's what it is), despite being in Sweden with sv_SE/sv/en_US/en configured in the browser and Google's services set to use English.

Fun!
