For all the extra effort of having an on-call system it's used less than half a dozen times a year, but the boss likes being able to charge for it.
Ask me how I know.
I have plenty of local storage. Moving forward, maybe good videos won't just go into a playlist with the assumption that YouTube will continue to be available.
Also, fuck Chia. It was supposed to be a low-power "proof of storage", but it's really "proof of prior work" and burns even more energy than proof of work since you need to constantly power the cryptographic calculations AND storage.
My daily file manager now is Directory Opus. The dual pane stuff is at the core of how I use it.
When a working class family moves, they have to give up one home for the next. They leave behind friends, family and their support network. If it's for work, they're risking the new role vanishing out from under them at any moment, even before they've started, but certainly before the move has paid for itself.
The wealthy can survive many mistakes and much bad luck. The working class can't survive a single negative event in their financial lives. They're not refusing to move because they want to inconvenience businesses. They're trapped. The wealthy wanted them trapped so they had a workforce that would work for poverty wages, and this is the result. You want workers where you need them, you're going to need to pay them more. Much more.
Declaring, without an argument that is not circular, that a collection of respected sources are all wrong (or lying) and that the truth must be something different is, by definition, a conspiracy theory.
Once I feel that I have a good view of an issue, using information weighted by reputation, I can make a statement like "This article appears inconsistent with the likely narrative, but consistent with someone who has been conned by a conman" without needing to justify my position directly, or abstracted away from the story. If you have a real alternative, you need to present it, but simply questioning someone's methodology is somewhere between irrelevant and disingenuous. At the very least, it adds little to the discussion of the issue at hand -- even more so in casual conversation where people are expressing a personal opinion of little or no real importance beyond this tiny little puddle. I mean, who is really going to respond to something like your comment with a couple of paragraphs to justify one sentence? ;)
Then your examples can be simple, rather than trying to be a complete explanation of everything.
