The governments are strictly limited in closing borders, not all the rest: closing universities, buying up all the media, choosing patsies as judges. Funny how the EU can void a referendum in Greece, but is "powerless" against backsliding democracy, one of the requirements for new countries to join in.
There's also the language barrier: if an Hungarian wants to abandon his home and start their life elsewhere, they better speak German, Polish, whatever.
Praying wasn't even free, if they had to sacrifice some animal.
Why not charge creators for the infrastructure cost?
The is the Spanish government press release, it should be changed to the primary source. @dang

This guy does a Twitter poll to rant against "evil" politicians not wanting to bend the knee to him, an MP replies to him publicly, and he snubs him, tells him to email his minions. This is not a serious CEO.
He keeps whining about The Government stopping him from opening an office with thousands of jobs, but they never say to do what. It's clearly a minimum wage call center, it's cheaper than the US, I don't see any job postings anywhere for engineering roles.
Just leave us alone, this is sucking oxygen from real Portuguese twch companies. Our brain drain is bad enough already.
We already have some US military bases, there's no need for more NSA listening stations here. The US is no longer an ally.

The HVDC break seems like a consequence of the frequency reaching 48Hz, France was affected but recovered quickly.
Portugal failed to restart the power plants several times, a deadly combination of austerity and unpreparedness.
This is a political problem, having Mitteleuropa depend on power from Putin is apparently OK, but on lazy southerners is verboten. Hopefully this blackout changes that (but I'm not holding my breath).
I though you were joking, but that's correct.
Absolutely delusiomal nonsense. Trump lost an election by nearly 10 million votes and still complained about fraud. If he's in power, he will stop at nothing to make sure this fraud thing is the law of the land.
It will make Hunter's laptop seem quaint.
As documented in Cyrano, hundreds of years ago.

As the workers mentioned, this is a way to bankrupt the state company so it can be privatised or saddled with debt. These trains trips were profitable, and subsidized others connections. The state did not transfer more money for this service, unlike the Carris Metropolitana, a single bus brand that is operated by several private companies, mostly French anf German.
