I’d appreciate a more informed comparison.
For several years, if not still, the anti-vaccine group Generation Rescue have had Google Ads proclaiming that “autism is treatable.” Jenny McCarthy, a TV entertainer who has been involved with Generetion Rescue, reportedly heard of the movement through Google Ads.
(alluding to a quote from him that I can’t source, “One of my most productive days was throwing away 1000 lines of code.”)
I learnt the Korean alphabet through Wikibooks when I wanted to try out input methods. The writing system seems to be easier to learn than other CJK languages, and I might learn more of the language as the Nation of Samsung seems pretty interesting.
I am not experienced reading Lisp code, but I find the many levels of indentation and the abundance of parentheses overwhelming. I don’t know if this is the case with Common Lisp code.
In Chicken Scheme however, parentheses are interchangable with other brackets – so you can add visual cues through your style if you don’t care much about portability.
I was in the process of making something similar before I found what I wanted – rlwrap. It provides readline line editing capabilities to command line applications that don’t support them, such as netcat.
Even though someone who’s autistic fail to show intelligence through a test, I believe they still may be very intelligent and can show this better through training.
I personally still believe reasoning skills can be trained by learning new heuristics at least.
From Wikipedia
An ad hominem (Latin: "to the man"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to link the validity of a premise to a characteristic or belief of the person advocating the premise.
Ad Hominem is not always a fallacy. For instance, it would not be possible to assess a person for a position without considering that person's characterstics. Sometimes we neither have the resources to assess a claim based on anything other than the characteristics of the one who made it.
