Huh is it still 2023? This article is just quibbling over what "rogue" means exactly. Only HN pedants would have any issue with describing them as rogue AI agents.
Nobody is saying that absolves OpenAI of responsibility.

Of course you aren't going to use Jev where you can easily make a decision deterministically with old-school programming. It's going to be used for stuff that might have previously been done by a person, e.g. reviewing app updates in app stores, reviewing CVs, labelling bugs, etc. Obviously that can already have inexplicable failures.
Unless the goal of the spot is literally just "Our name exists!!" which tbf it probably is for all those VPN ads, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.
Surely nobody watches the full ad segments?
Yeah of course software. That's the hard part. Look at driverless cars - we've had the hardware for it since the 70s.
Compared to humanoid robots where we might be 10-30 years away from having something that works well.
He is very clearly talking about race.
There's no issue with acknowledging that cultural integration between different races can cause issues, nor is it unreasonable to limit immigration on that basis. It's completely insane to deport people who are now legal residents based on their race.
Obviously he's not going to say "blacks go home". He's too smart for that, come on.

> Because the sacred cow here is not just that mass migration must stop going forward. It's also that millions who are already in Europe must go. Remigration has gone from a fringe concept to the mainstream discourse in record time on account of that realization.
I guess I could do it with AI now but still...
You've never made a minor mistake during a presentation? (I await your confident "no".)
Before that I'd have said he was on the edge, but now it's pretty clear cut.
It's not surprising about LinkedIn. They've made applying for jobs too easy so there's too much noise. I wouldn't bother applying for jobs there. LinkedIn is great for recruiters though - just put some effort into your profile, set it to "looking for work", and then reply to interesting recruiter spam. That's how I got my last 3 jobs.
Of course it does. What an obviously stupid thing to say. You think a 4 lane motorway doesn't allow more traffic flow than a single lane country road?
1. Git push should default to --force-with-lease --force-if-includes.
2. push.autoSetupRemote should be enabled by default.
3. The default conflict style should be zdiff3.
4. diff.submodule should be 'log' by default (gives much nicer submodule diffs).
5. Submodule updates / clones should be recursive by default. (There is a setting for this but I can't remember it.)
I think you probably just have to frame things right and get it in the mood (i.e. don't ask straight up at the start of the context).
But I also don't believe things just because I want them to be true.
For example in the UK (and maybe US?) you get tax relief for money you put into your pensions, but there's a limit of £60k/year. Unless you earn a lot (which I do, yeay) when that limit is tapered. Except that you can also use up to 3 years of previously unused allowance. But you have to use this year's first.
Also interest is taxed, but you can put up to £20k/year into an ISA which isn't. And if you still want to avoid some tax you have kids ISA's and even pensions!
Then there are also startup investment schemes that save you some tax. Those seem to be not worth it, but you get the idea - it can be complicated. Especially if you are near one of the many tax/benefit thresholds.
The marginal tax rate in the UK bounces all over the place - it's even technically possible for it to be over 100%!
