This is kind of a problem in that it reduces the number of potential early users, testers and ultimately contributors. Sure it is still early in its development process, but it is important work to do in order to gain traction.
If you have a pond with 1000 fishes, and each year the population of fish doubles, you can remove 501 fishes/year for quite a while. You are clearly in an unsustainable situation, yet it will take time for the population to completely collapse. These limits are in the sense that we cannot stay above forever, not in the we cannot go above ever sense.
You need to build carbon capture at emission sites however.
Carbon density in regular air is too low for capture to be efficient, it needs to be captured as the air exits fossil fuel power plants, which is difficult enough as is (I believe we can reasonably get about two thirds of the CO2 this way) to not be enough at all.
All in all, carbon capture is just a way to pretend to solve issues while only dealing with symptoms. GHG (and CO2) are just one of the many consequences of the excessive pressure our society has on our environment, and solving just one consequence won't save us from all the other (resource exhaustion, biodiversity collapse, GHG besides CO2).
Because this is a specific allocator different from the general purpose allocator which is the "default" option. It is aimed at some specific use cases, when developers want to fine-tune their allocation strategies.
The "build" part is really just installing the SSD and RAM, which has been extremely easy even as a novice in terms of hardware thanks to how well-built the Framework is + installation manual available online. Do not let the "DIY" part scare you.
Yes, we should not accept the existence of fraud. We should simply be able to recognize the situations where fighting fraud is more costly than letting it exist.
Not that it really matters in most places since we are quite far from that point anyways.
We still don't have a good answer only if you refuse all the already existing answers.
Geological storage has already been studied extensively and sites are already being constructed.
I wish org-mode supported text coloring. There are macros but you need to redefine them in every file and you must add support for all types of exports yourself. That's truly the only thing that bothers me every time I take notes/write small documents with it.
