While setting up your own mail server is fun, rewarding, and pretty easy, there are serious problems that anyone considers it needs to be made aware of. Over any serious period of time, the odds that not all your mail is getting delivered approaches and equals 100%. It's a sad reality but a true one unfortunately. If you okay with the fact that some percentage of your email will never make it to your destination (and in many cases you won't know that's happening) then it might be for you. Most people are not okay with that for obvious reasons.
Thanks for mentioning this. Have set DMARC preferences in DNS for ages but never configured a mailbox to receive the reports. Will try it out.
I'm not sure how old you were at the time but do you really remember that history well and did you compare the two browsers yourself at the time? I was a die hard Firefox user from the beginning until Chrome came out. I remember trying Chrome for the first time and being amazed at how much faster it was. Not just a little faster, way faster and how it could handle more tabs without slowing down. It was so far superior performance wise and that is what got me and many others to switch.
You first create a file request link and share this link with everyone. They can go to this link using their phone browser (or a browser on any device) and upload files (full high resolution files). Files automatically go into this "request" folder on your account. You can then share this folder out and have it viewable at another link.
You may want to set up couple URL redirections to these two link like mywedding.com/upload and mywedding.com/shared to make things easier and not have people asking for the link 100 times.
You pay for a plan based on your usage and are then not limited by number of domains or number of accounts.
