Ijumfs··on Amazon satellites add to astronomers' worries about night sky
Do what? Point out the petulance and inconsistency of astronomers?
Ijumfs··on Intel’s 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake SoC Detailed
Not according to security researchers.
Ijumfs··on Intel’s 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake SoC Detailed
Can I get this particular Intel rig without the Intel ME backdoors courtesy of the Talpiot program?

No? OK then, I'll stick with Ryzen.

Ijumfs··on "Rust does not have a stable ABI"
Why are people even using Rust and Go, aside from employer say-so? They're not formally defined, there aren't multiple functioning implementations, it's just not a good idea.
Ijumfs··on China hires over 100 TSMC engineers in push for chip leadership
Thousand Talents Program. I hope these engineers don't plan on going back to Taiwan, it probably won't be allowed by the Communists.
Ijumfs··on Snapdragon chip flaws put 1B Android phones at risk of data theft
I welcome you to read the Android privacy policy. It's all explained in there for you.
Ijumfs··on [dead]
All news is propaganda. That's its function. Billionaires own media outlets so they can brainwash the people dumb enough to still believe the media. Whether they are right or left informs your opinion about if that's good or not. Fox bad, MSNBC and Vice, good.
Ijumfs··on Stopping deepfake news with an AI algorithm that can tell when a face doesnt fit
The deepfakes which support the officially blessed narrative will not receive scrutiny, while authentic videos will be "proved" to be deep fakes by some black box machination.

But we've known not to trust anything we didn't personally see ourselves for many decades.

Ijumfs··on Google speakers are listening to more than just voice commands
Yet any of the smart home speakers on the market is more than capable of compressing audio.
Ijumfs··on Postal Service loses $2.2B in 3 months as virus woes persist
I don't believe that's a reliable source, sorry.

Ijumfs··on An Inside Look at CloudKitchens
It's not the case, because it's not possible for food to be cheaper after prep and delivery. It's cheap, but not cheaper than making your own food from scratch. And there's no oversight or health inspections for this mass prepared food either.

But you know this, it's why you said "seems to be" instead of "is," very nicely done.

Ijumfs··on Postal Service loses $2.2B in 3 months as virus woes persist
Maybe they should start charging Amazon more money to deliver packages than what it actually costs the USPS? Nah that's crazy.
Ijumfs··on Huawei CEO: After September 15 No More Kirin Chips
What they're not saying is that the Chinese will have to completely shut down many of their silicon foundries because of a lack of specialized chemicals only available from the USA and Japan.
Ijumfs··on An Inside Look at CloudKitchens
>It will soon be just as cheap to have your food prepared and delivered as going to the grocery store and making it yourself.

No, no it won't. Why would a person claim something so ridiculous? I can understand if you never leave your little Soho / Bay bubble, but do real actual people honestly think this?

Ijumfs··on Busted retailers use bankruptcy to break leases by the thousands
They used to be. That all stopped in the 1990's.
Ijumfs··on Feds move to block California’s net neutrality law
Are you a natural born citizen? You should know exactly why things work out this way if you are and there's no excuse for your confusion. If you're a green card holder or other non-citizen you can be forgiven for being ignorant, I suppose other nations don't teach people how America works. But if you're on a path to citizenship in any capacity please learn how America works and why. Otherwise you'll be frustrated and unsure of why things work the way they do forever.
Ijumfs··on Busted retailers use bankruptcy to break leases by the thousands
Oh no, not the poor poor commercial real estate developers! Anyway all the malls died like decades ago. Have you been to a mall lately? As far as I can tell the only people who go are folks engaged in drug transactions and busloads of tourists from SE Asia.
Ijumfs··on Levandowski sentenced to 18 months in prison as new lawsuit against Uber filed

Ijumfs··on Twitter Hack Zoom Court Hearing Interrupted by Zoombombers
Why are courts using Chinese spyware to conduct official business?
Ijumfs··on Latest Firefox rolls out Enhanced Tracking Protection 2.0
It all seems pretty pointless when every tracker tracks you by IP address and the only real way to defeat this is to use Tor, which BTW is blocked on an ever-growing list of sites.
Ijumfs··on Trump fires CEO of TVA over replacing US tech workers with H1B workers
So what you're saying is they can afford to hire non-H1B's.
Ijumfs··on Trump fires CEO of TVA over replacing US tech workers with H1B workers
Why not privatize it? Also, does it make a profit? If not, maybe privatization should be looked at. As far as I can tell it's always been a government-funded jobs program operating at a loss.
Ijumfs··on Trump fires CEO of TVA over replacing US tech workers with H1B workers
There is no excuse to hire a single foreigner into a jobs program meant to help the people of Appalachia. No excuse whatsoever.
Ijumfs··on TikTok’s Chinese owner offers to forego stake to clinch U.S. deal – sources
So will they be keeping all the intrusive spyware features as a part of this deal?
Ijumfs··on Student group leader arrested on suspicion of inciting secession in HK
One China Policy is about to fail in the West, the line was drawn. HK's special economic status has now been revoked, which was a wise move, but it's left China with no reason NOT to storm in.

Brace yourselves, Trump is likely to re-recognize Taiwan soon, reversing a terrible decision which was made as a concession.

Ijumfs··on Gmail, Contacts, Assistant and Messages apps no longer support sending money
Clamping down on international funding of terrorism, and election integrity.
Ijumfs··on Historical programming-language groups disappearing from Google
It was a terrible idea to entrust ANYTHING to Google.

Time to de-Google the whole Web.

Ijumfs··on Typometer: A tool to measure and analyze the visual latency of text editors
You don't have to believe these claims you know. And you need to add up all the latencies of all the components in the chain, from your keyboard and mouse to DirectX or whatever it is...
Ijumfs··on The “free speech debate” isn’t about free speech
The fact that you were downvoted shows that social media companies and big tech nerds and brogrammers aren't fit to ruminate on intellectual matters.
