IamFermat··on Cloud-based Chrome, Firefox or Brave browser that is also multiplayer
Yep, you can access the cloud-based browser via any local browser, without any install. Yeah it's a bit meta....
IamFermat··on Cloud-based Chrome, Firefox or Brave browser that is also multiplayer
It works on mobile too. You should try it on a tablet. The experience is really good, especially if you are collaborating with someone.
IamFermat··on Cloud-based Chrome, Firefox or Brave browser that is also multiplayer
That's part of our secret sauce we solved :) If you are have at least 40Mbps downstream bandwidth (most home broadband), there's little noticeable latency.

We enable anyone to spin up any of the major browsers in the cloud that is collaborative - multiple people can control. Co-browse any web app without download. Love for you all to try it out and give us feedback. Since it runs in the cloud, we do incur costs.

Here's a coupon code SHOWHN you can use for 30 day free use. Would appreciate any feedback!

Nice. Our team has been using Zoom for this but this looks like a much better way to do it.
IamFermat··on Giving the Dry-Erase Whiteboard a High-Tech Makeover – MIT Technology Review
Just tried it out. Really cool stuff. So easy to use. I am going to have to add this to our toolset with my remote developers
IamFermat··on Why AppLovin was acquired for $1.4B and who's next
Good point, I'll add it in a bit.
IamFermat··on David Chang’s Unified Theory of Deliciousness
I like his food. I think a lot of his fame is due to his attitude but I do applaud him for trying to think more meta about what we think we like to eat.
IamFermat··on Verizon nears deal to acquire Yahoo
Wow, i gotta say this is like Time Warner/AOL. Perhaps the internet is more mature now to make this work but Im not holding my breath. How will they reconcile the 2 adtech stacks which are huge messes in and off themselves.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Awesome insight! That would explain it!
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
I think it depends. You can draw some take aways if major apps are using a particular SDK - stability for example. Think about scaling. If uber has your SDK and you are logging events, you probably need a fairly meaningful infrastructure to do that.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Thx! Just checked out libtastic. Pretty fantastic :)
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Crashlytics is like the only bright spot out of the whole Twitter product suite. Or major players don't see Twitter as a threat at all anymore. Not like FB
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Admittedly this is tiny sample set. Would be interesting to look at top 50 apps across all categories and then top 50 by each categories.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Also 2 Stripe which occurs slightly more than other payment platforms. Got 1 Braintree (PayPal), 1 visa, 1 Alipay...
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
iOS only for now. Android coming very soon!
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Thx! We think people will find this useful too. Feel free to spread the word and have folks sign up at AppSight.co. Will have a lot more comprehensive data when we launch!
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Yeah good catch. The SDK list we scan against isn't comprehensive. It doesn't have AsyncDisplayKit (I just added it to the list). Great suggestion on Cocoapods, we'll be adding those. We'll publish more comprehensive list on our site AppSight.co once we launch our closed Beta. Would love your feedback too at that point.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
Thanks! Btw, I think not all your counts are correct. AFNetworking has a count of 6, not 1.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
We'll probably throw all the data up on appsight.co site and let folks do the filtering themselves. Sign up on the site now and we'll alert you when we launch for Beta.
IamFermat··on We indexed some top mobile apps and the SDKs they use
We indexed it exactly for that reason but also for the fact that it has one of the highest payment processing volume. So we were curious what payment processor they used.
IamFermat··on Inside the Million-Machine Clickfraud Botnet
Seriously, I have spent some time in my career in the online advertising world. In the video ad world, we have actually done simple fraud test (stupid bots clicking on the same pixel all the f'ing time is a clear give-away). A good 50% or more of video ad views are fraudulent. Since video ads are paid on CPM basis, advertisers totally get f'ed. Ad agencies who manages the spend don't care bc they take a % of spend. So it's all a giant collusion.
IamFermat··on Artem vs. Predator
For 21st century Predator vision, this is the closest to it. Thermal IR from FLIR - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7URETAl75A. Someone should hack this into a pair of glasses.
IamFermat··on All LinkedIn with Nowhere to Go
Linkedin is a bit like MySpace (not as bad) circa 2008, totally waiting for a Facebook to come and disrupt it. Only a matter of time.
IamFermat··on Training a deep neural net on a quantum computer
I agree. Bringing some funky extreme non-linearity into A.I training would be interesting. However, the models would probably be very different than what we have today.

Who else are truly building quantum computers other than D-Wave and IBM?

IamFermat··on Fidelity, in Reversal, Raises Value of Many Tech Startups
I have been looking at their mark up/downs for past few months. And I am suspicious. It seems random. It's not like they have financials sent in by the companies every month. So in an effort to fit startup investing into the mutual fund world, they have to fit square peg in round hole and put finger in mouth and stick it up in the air to guesstimate. Even the lead VCs (the guys who understand the biz) don't mark it up/down every month, much less the portfolio manager sitting 3000 miles away behind a desk in a suit and tie and doesn't know a SAN from a NAS
IamFermat··on [dead]
I agree. People mindlessly celebrate when a companies raises $20M. It's completely wrong. If you are such hot stuff, you actually dont need to raise money and keep control of the company.
IamFermat··on Ad tech is having a premature midlife crisis
I wouldn't call it premature. I think it's overdue. Coming home to roost.
IamFermat··on Claude Shannon Turns 1100100
When I was at MIT, we spent a History of CS class on him. The fact that you can calculate te theoretical limit on info transmitted given a channel's parameters is kinda mind-blowing. Like Einstein figuring our theoretical limit on velocity.

He also wrote one of the most important master theses ever - from his NYT obit - "In what has been described as one of the most important master's theses ever written, he showed how Boolean logic, in which problems can be solved by manipulating just two symbols, 1 and 0, could be carried out automatically with electrical switching circuits. The symbol 1 could be represented by a switch that was turned on; 0 would be a switch that was turned off."

IamFermat··on Neural Networks Are Impressively Good at Compression
This is really cool. Totally can see a way where the algo would adapt based on object getting compressed
