Redshift is supposedly fully managed only that in reality it takes like a team.of engineers to get it moving and Bigquery is supposedly serverless only that of you also want your queries to run then you need constant tuning so excuse me for being extremely sceptic.

Interesting to see what machine learning is doing in the Data space. Other companies to look at --> Snowflake, Splunk, Google (amazing advancements in ML in the past year)

I have been a data engineer for over a decade, and when I read articles like this I always wonder how do you differentiate between a big data environment and a traditional one? I mean aside from cloud adoption in the past decade I dont see my self needing any different "skill sets" than I did 10 years ago!
