GreatLdisisp88··on Maduro lost election, tallies collected by Venezuela's opposition show
Take this with grain of salt. After seeing how American did 2020 election with so many centurians that would put Japanese to shame and chasing out observers with lots of luggage votes, I am disinclined to read anything about democracy by American media, especially WAPO.
GreatLdisisp88··on Ray Dalio's "The Changing World Order" [pdf]
Russia is good friends with China. USA research and universities are saturated with China Chinese. Good luck with keeping secrets. Russia and China alread able to shoot down F35. Have more nukes. Have hypersonic missiles. Ablr to take out American satelites. Supply chains and raw materials absolutely trounce USA with even NATO support. Saudi now doing non petrodollar. USA 400K troops decimated in Afghan. Dedolarisation is happening making USA dominant in 75% world teansaction now drop below 50% (according to official world numbers and below 40% in unofficial like India/Russia/China trades that not registered in the west). USA couldnt even make phones and TVs properly. Every single American wunderwaffen destroyed by Russian. That is entire Nato against 1 Russia (ok maybe supported by NK Iran and China?). USA natural adavantage? Like isolated? That works against her as well. Just go down to Mexico and have a look. Dominate by Chinese firms all the way to Peru and Brazil. I can pick any Chinese citizens that can speak 2 to 3 languages. It is extremely hard to so to pick Americans like that. In fact depend on locations, you get tons of non-English speakers inside USA. USA couldnt even get enough military recruits since many years. Official military troops are so weak, they have to outsource to security contractors. What about drone game changer? American globalhawks just pissed by SU and crashed. DJI able to outproduce entire NATO drones production by several folds. Military you will find it hard anyone to acknowledge USA now is number 1. Industrially, China is several magnitude of USA. Even so mamy F35 components can be traced back to Russia and China. The titanium and aluminium air frame? And how about gold reserve? Have anyone really believe any gold in Fort Knox? Hint, if you have friends working in Fed, might want to check why so many physical gold being shipped out of USA to Shanghai every month. Even Olympics, you see so many Americans on asthma meds and still lost to Chinese.
GreatLdisisp88··on Intel took billions from the CHIPS Act, and gave nothing back
Allowing Russia to join NATO would nullify WW3. Disbanding NATO and separately signing FTA or allowing EU to do so would also prevent WW3. Heavily dependent on China and not use billions to fund disinformation will also prevent that. CIA taking out Netan will also prevent that instead of pouring more bombs to replenish Netan's troops. All in all, it sure looks like USA wholely wants WW3.
GreatLdisisp88··on McDonald's sales fall globally for first time in more than three years
It is getting smaller. Your insistent it is not is weirdly just your specific opinion. I ate fornlike consistently over 30 years. Shrinkage is very observable.
GreatLdisisp88··on Why is Xi Jinping building commodity stockpiles?
You need to check American gold stockpiles. That is currently holding down gold price. China is actively dwindling American gold by making it mandatory physical delivery to China. We will see how long America can play this. When the gold stockpiles truly emptied gold price will spike. Attrition includes ability to produce. If you run our stockpiles, how you peoduce?
GreatLdisisp88··on An AI bot-war destroyed the online job market
Job market isnt that rosy as government stats show. Just go to any foodbanks and see for yourself the queue. Remember no one audit government numbers. All the numbers are essentially "trust me bros".
GreatLdisisp88··on Oxygen discovery defies knowledge of the deep ocean
Your salary comes from that. So too is your Internet. Maybe you are being hypocrite? To be human, we destroy. The only way is to die out and let nature take her course. Agent Smith in Matrix said summed it best that we are virus on this planet that need to be eradicated.
GreatLdisisp88··on Apple tries to rein in Hollywood spending after years of losses
Asimov Foundation books near impossible to adapt to TV series or movies. It has no typical hero's arc. Even in Gibbon's Rome book you able to follow say Nero rise and downfall. As a generic idea book, Asimov books were ahead of his time. As a good scifi novel? He was several magnitudes below Cixin - and majority would even place Ursula way way higher than Asimov. Apple Foundation literally blast through Asimov story telling. To me, at least Apple succeeded as YA or within a potshot of Cixin. Asimov literally failed in adult scifi by today's standard. What holding you is nostalgia. Evaluate the story in contemporary terms.
GreatLdisisp88··on After CrowdStrike, Programmers Deserve Consequences
Ths error is on indiviual IT department to allow Crowdstrike DIRECT access to their system without check and balance. Have they just delay update by 1 day, they will not get affected. Clearly the CIO allowed extrrnal company to have the power to flip the off switch. Then again, we now see the wisdom of Xi and Putin. Diversity is good!
GreatLdisisp88··on 10% of Cubans left Cuba between 2022 and 2023
This kind of numbers are not auditted. Might as well a journalist fake the numbers while in washing room cubicle (happened before). So just take this reading litely.
GreatLdisisp88··on Police raids found Dior was using exploitative suppliers to produce luxury bags
You obviously havnt heard of ex-Malaysian Prime Minister's wife bag collection. There are rich or super rich people with habits like a drug addicts buying up these branded goods. Is basically like YTers getting patreon patrons. They dont need millions of followers. They just need 1000 hardcore fans that pay them monthly.
GreatLdisisp88··on The A.I. Bubble is Bursting with Ed Zitron [video]
Quantum biomechanics. Human brain has built-in indeterministic pattern seeking. Computers are Turing based which 100% dependent on their programming and data inputs. All current LLMs operates on that very deterministic hardware. In order for LLMs to break thru existing glass ceiling, the hardware need to change.
GreatLdisisp88··on American Singapore(s): Competent city governance hiding in plain sight
My goodness, nowhere near Singapore efficiency. 10 years to reduce to 60% homelessness. Singapore did to 90% in less than 10 years with near nothing other than pure debts and human capital in the 70s. And not only that they managed to maintain that for more than 3 decades. I would like to see Camel in 10 years time when they flip or some incompetent mayor voted in. When they able to do it 3 decades in a row, come back and let me know. PLUS all the example cited spread across multiple cities. Singapore had done it all in one single city and much more with less than 3-5M people. Again when you have something like that in America then I am impress. Otherwise, American achievement mentioned there dime a nickel many spread across Eastern Asia. Don't ride on Singapore tailcoat. USA is one of the worst country in a lot of metrics to benchmark against Singapore. Even the so call journalism freedom metric is just mirage in USA....look who employ those journalists. Their news outlet are so bizzare is like they reporting an alternate multiverse USA that I am not aware of.
GreatLdisisp88··on TikTok says US ban is inevitable without a court order blocking law
This is something many parents in ky community should have been done for YT and Meta too. We also feel American CIA is spying via this American propaganda machines. In fact to date I am still waiting for proof of such thing with TikTok as I have already seen proof of such with Meta and YT.
GreatLdisisp88··on Tesla Releases Results of 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders
Tesla stocks have a lot of hype especially from Cathie of Ark. Nearly everywhere from spams to YT to FB, you have a lot of "ads" to promote Tesla. Anything EVs good news straight away related to "Tesla" even if it is about Toyota or BYD bad news, seems like Tesla getting credit instead. At current stage I am convince somekind of coordinated and multi layered pump and dump is happening. We are at the "pump" stage. Anyone doing a decent research will see Tesla has near no moat unlike Apple, Nvidia or Microsoft. No battery factory. No owning any lithium mine. No gpu productions. Factories depend heavily on China grace. High churn of employees. Solarcity gone. Autopilot rebranded as FSD which is not even reaching 3.0 after half a decade of promises. CyberTruck design are joke. Any trainees working in BMW or BYD can design a better CyberTruck. Gigafactory? Hahaha...you got a chance take a look BYD factories. Even Taobao warehouses will make Amazon warehouse look like medieval setup. There are Chinese factories that look more like Star Trek than ANY gigfactory. Just ride the hype part and make sure you do the dump earlier before the actual dump happening by the elites.
GreatLdisisp88··on Cities: Skylines II Found a Solution for High Rents: Get Rid of Landlords
For rent control you need to imagine landlords like pest in nature. How you control pest? By introducing predator that prey on pest. Or you can control resources that let pest thrive. For Ametican landlords there are no true predator other than governments. And governments typically are slow while landlords can adapt faster. In this case government would be like sabretooth tiger or megalodon predators moving so slow unable to do much to catch preys. The 2nd thing is the resources. Landlords thrive because asymmetric information. Renters find hard to negotiate. Renters also become desperate when public transports become limited in a highly demand area with no alternatives. Once you start to see this problem predatory-prey relationship, landlords as pest can be put under control. I suggest you guys read up how Singapore government control landlords. They have very practical and innovative ways that span decades of planning into future. Even though land is incredibly limited and cost of living high, in terms of available and affordable rents to citizens and foreigners will put London, NY, Tokyo to shame.
GreatLdisisp88··on Start calculating digital carbon emissions in 5 minutes with CO2.js (2022)
Iron fertilization of ocean technique already had been proven to work to solve CO2 problem. It qas so successful Canadian government had to arrest the lead researchers at their office to discredit it. The whole idea of taxing CO2 is what gets us to today where CO2 continue to spike. The taxong only brings in money for the rich and governments to spend. It doesnt do anything to reduce CO2. Go check it out CO2 taxing started dwcades ago. And what is current worldwide government position on iron fertilization. You be shocked.
GreatLdisisp88··on 85% of People Want Global Ban on Single-Use Plastics
The calculator also assume random selection. Don't trust statistics math too much. Even in acccounting where only arithmetic is being used, with legal auditing done yearly or quarterly basis, fraud is incredibly common (working in corporates for decades, they even termed it as massaging numbees by financial engineers). This kind of surveys without any audit and legal framework backing it, at 385 sampling is just inviting fraud. At least 2 to 3Mil needed and back by local election boards or local enforcement agencies. If this is done even in communist countries like China or Vietnam will still be way more legit than done in California or Oslo.
