BUILD CHANNELS UNDER THESE BRIDGES!!! By digging out channels beneath BRIDGES that have large cargo ship traffic beneath them, these ships would run around, and/or hit a wall (depending on design) before ever getting close to bridges structural support components.
Every city with bridges like these, with city, state AND federal funding, should begin construction on "guidance channels " IMMEDIATELY...
