Garbage··on Why I moved from Angular to React
My experience with Angular has been very different. I never felt pain working with Angular. Most of the issues I saw, boiled down to bad code. And I think those issues would still be there irrespective of framework used.

I also don't get why two way binding is difficult to reason about. Can somebody please give me an example?

Garbage··on Years and lessons working at ThoughtWorks
Well, traveling really depends on project. But you can actually ask for non-travel project.

I would recommend talking to the recruiter and let them know your preferences before declining.

Garbage··on Years and lessons working at ThoughtWorks
With having some products, ThoughtWorks does consulting and custom software development (services) as well.

ThoughtWorks has developed Mingle - a project management tool, Go - a continuous delivery tool, Snap - a continuous delivery tool on cloud, Gauge - test automation tool. But you can also hire ThoughtWorks for consulting on agile organization transformation, programming practices, etc. If you are looking for teams to help you develop custom software with these practices, ThoughtWorks can help you with that as well.

Garbage··on United Airlines Bug Bounty: An experience in reporting a serious vulnerability
Well, having worked on applications like this, I think it's not totally unreasonable. Of course, could it have been done earlier? Yes. But the backend systems of such applications are usually so complicated and with ripple effects through layers that it takes quite a lot of planning to get it right.

I am not saying delaying a critical vulnerability patch for 6 months is right, but I think airline systems will typically need that much time to plan it well.

I don't have Microsoft source though.

Can somebody please point me to the technical guidelines section? The link mentioned[1] in the original article[2] is giving 404.

Sorry, I fail to see the relation with the article. Can you please elaborate?
Garbage··on Ewww, You Use PHP? [2010]
Recently I worked on a PHP project for a month. And heard same "ewwww" reactions from people. And even though I was skeptical about PHP, I must say it was fun. It wasn't the same PHP I used 6 years back. PHP has come a long way since. Frameworks like Symfony (Rails equivalent) is just amazing to work with.

In total, I think people should give PHP another try. It's worth it.

Garbage··on IntelliJ IDEA 14 Released
Been using EAP for quite some time now. Really impressed.

Congratulations Jetbrains. Keep it coming. :)

Garbage··on Introducing Carrot
I don't know if you have tried PHP recently, but with the frameworks like Symfony2, it's much more robust and feels natural to code into. I think you should give it another try. :)
Garbage··on Write every day
Writing every day doesn't not necessarily mean write "blogs" every day. Blogs is not the only place you "write". :|

Garbage··on Text and Ride in India
I met Mukesh Jha, one of the founders, couple of months back in a conference. It was amazing listening to his story of Autowale.in. His passion about this was apparent.
Garbage··on Google Domains
I don't know if this is true or not, but some guy has "leaked" some information about AdSense "fraud" - http://pastebin.com/qh6Tta3h
Garbage··on Nginx has replaced Apache as the most used web server among the top 10,000 sites
Mostly just by looking at "server" header. For example, Hacker News has server header as cloudflare-nginx
Garbage··on Firefox Developer Tools – Editable box model, Sublime Text keys
That's good to hear. I have been using Firefox Nightly since quite a few months now. It's impressive. :)
Garbage··on Firefox and Flux: A New, Beautiful Browser is Coming
Have been using most of these things in Nightly. It's a pleasant experience. :)
Garbage··on Postman: a powerful HTTP client (for Chrome) to test web services
I am surprised how many people didn't know about Postman.

It's an amazing tool. I have been using it almost daily since long back.

Garbage··on Why we love Scala at Coursera
I partially agree to you.

I have been using Scala as primary programming language for more than a year. I have been using Java for almost 5 years before that.

Yes, the learning curve for Scala is a bit high, but once I "got it", I felt much more productive to cover for the time I lost learning new language.

Garbage··on Scala is Not Java Glue
I have personally found IntelliJ's Scala support quite good. Of course it's not as good as Java, but it's good. I am using EAP release BTW.

Garbage··on A Tale of Two Interviews, Part 1
More than IDE, it's about the code you are doing. If you aren't comfortable with the IDE other person is using, I think you should request to change it and that person should allow.
Garbage··on Packets of Death
Author mentioned a custom package generator tool "Ostinato". I met the author of this tool 2-3 months back. A lone guy working on this tool as a side project. Amazing work. :)
