I speculate the gains must be heavily context dependent (no pun intended). Different teams, tech stacks, product types, and company policies perhaps have an outsized effect on what gains LLMs give. We are allowed to be pretty independent and don't have much of a restriction on token usage.

Claiming reality has a left wing bias is certainly an opinion you're welcome to have to explain this, but the reality of the bias in models is well evidenced. It seems that practically Grok's right wing tweaks mostly just combat the already pre baked bias existing models have (generally).
And you are listing pretty much the lower priority parts of the game - the exploration, density of content, core mechanics, innovation, insane freedom, variety of content, is absolute magic. It definitely plays like BOTW so you may not like it if you didn't like BOTW, but to say it doesn't have a lot of meaningful improvements is simply inaccurate.
