Foxhuls··on Xbox has secured exclusive GTA 6 streaming rights
TVs and phones maybe? I’m not sure and it’s definitely a good question. My only guess at this point could be rockstar specifically restricting streaming to PC.
Foxhuls··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
I know that you did and didn’t mean anything by my comment if it came across a certain way. I just thought it would be worth clarifying and sharing my experience with having done local and self hosted streaming previously versus the cloud streaming I’ve been doing in place of it.
Foxhuls··on Xbox has secured exclusive GTA 6 streaming rights
From a Kotaku article on the same subject:

Update 10/6/2026 11:42 p.m.: Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball has said that The Verge‘s report from earlier today claiming Xbox had exclusive streaming rights to GTA 6 was “misreporting.”

“We are looking forward to launching GTAVI on XBOX November 19, though the game will not be streaming exclusively or to PC.”

Foxhuls··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
I’m talking about cloud streaming though I used to do local streaming through steam and remote streaming through parsec. GeForce now in my experience has worked better than either of those options running on my own hardware regardless of the hardware being local occasionally.
Foxhuls··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
As someone who used to upgrade their GPU every year to the newest top card I find it to be indistinguishable from local hardware 95%+ of the time. It’s fairly mind blowing how well it works. Also just to clarify again I pay for the ultimate or whatever the highest tier of GeForce now is for like $20/month and use it primarily on a wired connection so that’s where my experience comes from. With their service you still need to pay for and own the games (though it also connects to Xbox game pass) so you’re only paying for the streaming. It’s also not something that depends on developers allowing it to be on the service so not every game is on there but the catalogue is quite large. I play on a 3440x1440p ultrawide at 100hz and I believe the ultimate sub supports up to 4k@120hz
Foxhuls··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
I didn’t say only on a wired connection. All of my experiences streaming wirelessly have also been great. I’m just not willing to make the same level of claim when I’ve probably spent less than ten hours streaming on WiFi and hundreds on a wired connection.
Foxhuls··on AnyPS5: Port PS5 binaries to PC without emulation (87% system libraries mapped)
Cloud game streaming has gotten to be extremely impressive, at least on a wired connection, to the point where it’s almost hard to tell you’re streaming. It’s been hard for me to consider upgrading my old gaming PC considering how good GeForce Now is for the $20 a month that I spend.
Foxhuls··on High Diesel Prices Bankrupted 16 Trucking Companies in Just 30 Days
I don’t want this to imply that autopilot is somehow flawless and not allowing/including it is the wrong choice. However crashes and fatalities are something that already happen so I’ve always found it shocking just how much they’re highlighted and focused on when a computer causes them. I just think these things need to be looked at from a much more statistical angle than they currently seem to be. Innovation has kind of always been dangerous and risky throughout history with unfortunate lessons learned. Mitigating them should obviously be the goal but some level of risk kind of has to be acceptable.
Foxhuls··on An AI couldn't beat humans at StarCraft, so it decided to cheat
I'm a little lost on how this comparison and explanation answers what I was asking, would you mind expanding on it? Guns and projectiles were just fancier ways for humans to kill each other.

My comment was focused on the original comments insight that AI will use humans to try to end other humans as it's imo nothing more than a change in who is doing it than a difference in what's happening. In that scenario the balance of power is in the hands of the AI and not the people who control, or I guess controlled, the GPUs.

Foxhuls··on An AI couldn't beat humans at StarCraft, so it decided to cheat
Humans have been using humans against other human throughout time, is it really any different?
Foxhuls··on We're working on a new RuneScape MMO
For anyone unaware this is stated to essentially be the MMO continuation of Runescape Dragonwilds which was a survival and crafting game that recently released into 1.0 after its commercial success.
Foxhuls··on AI assistant hacks gym website in first known Australian autonomous cyber attack
The reporting in this is pretty awful. Why are they acting as if Andrew gave the agent an innocent goal? It’s hard to understand why the reporter wouldn’t have asked what possible outcome Andrew expected that didn’t cause some level of harm to the people who signed up before him.

The use of “hack” and “cyber attack” is also a bit ridiculous considering what it’s insinuating with other recent events but that’s already been mentioned.

Foxhuls··on The short leash AI coding method for beating Fable
I can't help but feel that this reads more as a reflection that you don't want to stop being a developer than it does that thing's aren't moving in the direction that the GP said it is.

Foxhuls··on Human Routers of Machine Words
This just seems weirdly similar to Plato's comments on writing:

"And so it is that you by reason of your tender regard for the writing that is your offspring have declared the very opposite of its true effect. If men learn this, it will implant forgetfulness in their souls. They will cease to exercise memory because they rely on that which is written, calling things to remembrance no longer from within themselves, but by means of external marks.

What you have discovered is a recipe not for memory, but for reminder. And it is no true wisdom that you offer your disciples, but only the semblance of wisdom, for by telling them of many things without teaching them you will make them seem to know much while for the most part they know nothing. And as men filled not with wisdom but with the conceit of wisdom they will be a burden to their fellows."

Maybe it simply comes down to how things get used and people are trying to figure out how to use this strange new tool that's available to us.

Foxhuls··on WWDC 2026: Apple is Folding
The OS of choice may be an “impossible” ask from Apple. However with the Neo running on the A18 I don’t think we’re far from seeing something along those lines.
Foxhuls··on OpenFOV – Webcam head tracking for iRacing
Typically people don’t use 1:1 movement when using something like this. It’s a much higher ratio so you only have to slightly move your head to look around. It allows you to do it quicker but also avoids exactly what you’re describing.
Foxhuls··on OpenFOV – Webcam head tracking for iRacing
This is a good example of having sound logic but not understanding the actual use case. It's simply a way to add functionality in a way to attempt to mimic what humans are capable of in a game. Not everyone wants to or is capable of using VR for various reasons. This allows you to use a slight physical movement of your head to replace using a mouse to move the camera, primarily in flight and racing simulators. That means you don't have to take your hand off of the racing wheel to move a mouse around, or even need to have a mouse available to you.

While I can’t speak to which one of you is correct I think it’s worth pointing out that 50 years ago only pushes into 5 of the 30 years that they referred to. I can’t imagine it would’ve jumped to 50% overnight in that change but I still thought it was worth mentioning.

Foxhuls··on Show HN: I taught ChatGPT to find cool domain names – with availability check
I’m going to be honest, this just sounds like user error to me. Try typing something simple like “Can you generate some domain names related to bike sales?”. The results aren’t perfect but I thought it was pretty interesting and fairly useful. If you’re doing nothing but typing keywords with no other information such as “Can you generate domain names relating to the following keywords” of course it’s just going to spit out those keywords.
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
What about it do you not get? I said it’s an inconvenience but not a huge issue. There are many ways of getting around it and iMessage only exists because of the way carriers used to charge for texting. I clearly said I wish it wasn’t the case but it’s just not impactful enough to me to really care about it. You’ll notice that most iPhone users don’t really care about the way android runs or works but a whole lot of android user seem to get really offended that iPhones aren’t androids and that iPhone users don’t care about that.
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
You really think there’s no reason whatsoever? I have to believe that’s disingenuous. It’s just a phone to me and all I need is basic phone features to work. That’s also the reason I’m still using my iPhone X, it works as a phone and for basic tasks if I don’t want to get onto my computer or grab my laptop. I care more about my phone simply working than having additional features I don’t value. I don’t want to have to download multiple app stores in order to get specific apps. I already have to deal with that when it comes to epic on PC and it’s a pain in the ass. It also is going to make having to help the tech support for the technically challenged in my family so much more of a pain. There is a platform available if I want the features and capabilities you’re bringing up. I’m not telling anyone that their android is a bad choice or that it doesn’t work for them. Why do android users constantly seem to be telling me to be unhappy with the iPhone and that I need things I don’t want.

The only point that you’ve mentioned that can be annoying is sending a video to a friend with an android but it’s not a big enough of an issue that I care enough to do anything about it considering google photos and or an iCloud link is easy.

Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
I’m sorry that me asking a question is so emotionally upsetting to you that it leads to you attempting to insult me. I’ll try not to ask anymore question about Microsoft the 3.19 trillion dollar company, Sony the 113 billion dollar company, and Nintendo the 10 billion dollar company. I hope my question didn’t hurt these mom and pop businesses. You also made me completely aware of the fact that these aren’t the big three players in the console market which is a pretty fair comparison to this situation. Thanks again for your wonderful contribution.
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
You could have initially responded with that instead of reasoning that apple is being focused due to being a large player while dismissing other large companies being brought up.
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
The majority of people I see complaining about apple’s walled garden ecosystem are people who are also proud to admit they don’t use apple products. It’s never made sense to me why people who don’t even use the products care so much about it. If people wanted to be able to do the things they claim they want to, they would switch to android but they don’t.
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
Sony (PlayStation store), Microsoft (Xbox store), and Valve (steam) all take 30%. No one can speak on what Nintendo takes due to NDA. Why are they never brought up?
Foxhuls··on U.S. sues Apple, accusing it of maintaining an iPhone monopoly
I think most people just like how simple the products are overall. I prefer that my family, who tends to need a lot of basic tech support, have iPhones because they’re able to figure most things out and there’s no real risk of them messing anything important up. I’ve also noticed this strange phenomenon that the majority of people who complain about iPhones and the apple ecosystem don’t even use them. If someone doesn’t like what the company offers, they’re not forced to buy any of their products. I hate the idea of needing to deal with multiple app stores in the future because people who don’t even use the products have some sort of issue with it.
