FlashBlaze··on Audacity 3.0
Love your podcast!

While I'm not using linux it really is amazing how far FOSS can take you. I haven't used openshot but can definitely vouch for kdenlive[0]

FlashBlaze··on Lost in Thought: Psychological Risks of Meditation
Thanks. Will do.
FlashBlaze··on Lost in Thought: Psychological Risks of Meditation
So having a timer of say 10-15 minutes and meditating would be preferred over apps like Headspace, Calm, etc even though they have guided meditation? Isn't that risky? I don't have any medical conditions but reading this article has made me somewhat wary.
FlashBlaze··on Zig, parser combinators, and why they're awesome
Would very much like to read your thoughts on V[0]

Agreed regarding yarn and npm comparison. During my development of React Native, I was using Yarn and I was blown away at the rate of installing the packages. Since then, I've pretty much used yarn over npm for all my React and React Native projects.

Woah! Didn't know that. Just to verify I went on Wikipedia[1] and it sure is the case

> An important goal of Python's developers is keeping it fun to use. This is reflected in the language's name—a tribute to the British comedy group Monty Python[70]—and in occasionally playful approaches to tutorials and reference materials, such as examples that refer to spam and eggs (from a famous Monty Python sketch) instead of the standard foo and bar.[71][72]

FlashBlaze··on Deno v1.8 – support for WebGPU, private modules, Intl, and much more
Since there is no permission requirement as such, could a malicious user use my GPU for mining?
FlashBlaze··on Launch HN: Athens Research (YC W21) – Open-Source Roam Research
Did not expect Zettlr to be mentioned here. Currently my go to note taking app.
FlashBlaze··on WebAssembly
Really off-topic, but I have recently started learning Go and also just looked into V. The simple hello world compiled binary of Go is 2088KB while that of V is 415KB. I'm on Windows. So is the large size solely due to GC?
FlashBlaze··on Cinder – a C++ library for programming with aesthetic intent
Agreed. I haven't used Notch but I have played with TouchDesigner and VVVV and are quite intuitive once you get used to node based layout. I also had trouble installing OF on Windows so I started with Processing/p5.js which was a breeze to set up. I don't know whether that's a fair comparison or not though.

Couldn't agree more. I wanted to setup nginx and add users in the sudo group and almost always their articles were the first to appear.
FlashBlaze··on Total Cookie Protection
Tried the addon. Still nothing. I have also tried clean installing Firefox with no addons, but same issue.
FlashBlaze··on Total Cookie Protection
I'm on Windows 10 with latest drivers for Nvidia 1050Ti. Still the same issue.
FlashBlaze··on Total Cookie Protection
I have tried regular as well as the developer version of Firefox, but no matter what I use, YouTube videos always skip frames after every 10-15 seconds or so. So I use Brave for YouTube and other WebGL heavy stuff and Firefox developer version for daily browsing.
FlashBlaze··on The Most Popular Startup Domain Suffixes
I'm really fascinated by .xyz suffix and discovered it after seeing Alphabet[0] website. I have used it for my site[1] as well as for my side project[2].

FlashBlaze··on 2021: what’s coming in free/libre software
I absolutely love Natron. The ability to use and animate G'MIC filters along with running Shadertoy shaders in Natron were huge selling points for me.
FlashBlaze··on IPFS Support in Brave
Wasn't aware of this. Thanks.
FlashBlaze··on Show HN: Handel – A procedural programming language for writing songs in browser
So cool!
FlashBlaze··on Show HN: LinkAce – Self-hosted, FOSS bookmark archive
I don't know why I didn't think of this approach before. This is amazing! A good project for Show HN imo.
FlashBlaze··on Expanding Fuchsia's open source model
Is this possible on a rooted device?
FlashBlaze··on Benefits of Walking
Before the pandemic, did the quantity of litter decrease over time? I mean not drastically but subtle enough to notice?
FlashBlaze··on How to Memorize Faster with the Spaced Repetition Learning Technique
This looks amazing! I recently (5 days ago) started learning Japanese using Duolingo and have been taking hand written notes. I'm also thinking of creating a digital version using Zettlr[0] which I use daily. I'll also try out your app. If I may ask. What is the tech stack you used for building clients other than mobile as well as for mobile? Thanks.

FlashBlaze··on Digital Tools I Wish Existed
Couldn't agree more. I have approximately 10-15 tabs open on Firefox as well as on Brave and while reading through the content of one tab I come across some interesting stuff which in turn leads me to open another tab or two and the cycle continues.
FlashBlaze··on Digital Tools I Wish Existed
Have you given Zettlr https://www.zettlr.com/ a try?
FlashBlaze··on Please disable JavaScript to view this site
I wasn't aware of this option in settings. Thanks.
FlashBlaze··on ReMarkable tablet open source tools and hacks
Which Wacom tablet are you currently using?
FlashBlaze··on Hum to Search Song
This is absolutely mind blowing! Tried it from indie to popular Hindi and English songs to way back old Hindi songs and it found the correct match each time. Hats off!
FlashBlaze··on Generative Bad Handwriting
Would really like to hear some samples
FlashBlaze··on Launch HN: Datafold (YC S20) – Diff Tool for SQL Databases
It is interesting to see Ant Design used other than my personal projects.
