Eun··on Apple Developer Program Membership Fee Waivers Now Available
You could resign the app using Cydia Impactor. This avoids the rebuilding process, and keeps the app data on the device.

Eun··on Sega releasing every console game for free with ads on mobile
I use the AdBlock app for iOS, it sets up a dummy VPN that blocks a lot of ad servers. Works pretty well.

Eun··on If you opened your PayPal account before you were 18, close it
Had the same issue last month after reciving a $3000 bug bounty. PP limited my account I uploaded a copy of my id, bing -> banned.

However: After calling them, they told me to create a new account and verify it with the CC and bankaccount (that were in old acc). And as soon everything was verified they trasfered the money to the new account.

So apparently it seems not to be that difficult to get your money.

Would be nice, if there is a mobile friendly version.
Eun··on The Mac Pro Lives
I am using WSL with success, it usualy gets the job done.

Window management in OSX is horrible.

Finder is even more horrible. It reminds me of the Windows 95 Explorer. A network drive hangs? Good luck with Finder..., the whole system halts.

Eun··on Ask HN: What do you want to see in Ubuntu 17.10?
- FLAVOR: Ubuntu Core

- HEADLINE: zfs setup in installer.

- DESCRIPTION: I would love to see an easy way to install the system with zfs. Current way is to use the wiki by zfsonlinux. And lets say it that way: It is not easy for beginners...

I am using KeePass, works for my stack. However don't use it when using Mac or Linux it's a pain running with wine.
Eun··on Show HN: Privacy-focused, ad-free, non-tracking torrent search engine
Agreed here, the site is using a backend and who knows what this backend is tracking. It should be a static site and open source, so we can verify the claims.
Eun··on Godaddy has issued at least 8850 SSL certificates without validating anything
Finder here, this is the history:

    12.12.2016: First contact with MS
27.12.2016: Answer, saying its not a bug. (Notice the promise that you get an answer in 24 hours)
02.01.2017: Explaining the issue again in more detail
03.01.2017: Opening the ticket, saying I will get more information if something is available.
12.01.2017: No answer from MS, and seeing randomly this post on HN
I hope I will get some details by MS soon so I can keep you up to date guys.

Eun··on 8M GitHub profiles were leaked from GeekedIn's MongoDB
Maybe your profile is private, your commits aren't. Your email in the commits can be scanned easy as well.
Eun··on Ask HN: What simple tools or products are you most proud of making?

I know there are a bunch of similar sites outside however I wanted something simple with no ads but all information.

Eun··on Service Workers: an Introduction

Eun··on MicroG Project: A re-implementation of Google's Android apps and libraries
There were some attempts years ago, the author implemented the same stuff as MicroG does now, I wonder if MicroG is forked...

However 3 years ago I was super excited and got the Alternative Google Store (I think it was BlankStore) installed. It crashed randomly and I was not able to download any App. However I thought that the author would work on it and in some time it would be useable.

Still waiting for that day.

That's why I'm a bit pessimistic about this project...

A better way would be to implement a true container/vm system so google only knows what is in this container, no contacts, no calendar, no mails. Heck, maybe it's even possible to link into that container for the host system apps.

Eun··on Frequent password changes are the enemy of security
True in some points. Password rotation is bad. But isn't it better to rotate a bad password than keeping a bad password?

Furthermore if you have a internal system, the administrator should enforce certainly password conditions. They could even forbid the use of old passwords...

Eun··on Frequent password changes are the enemy of security
I am a bit shocked, that they want to keep old passwords. Imagine some hacker gains access to a username - password list. But leeks it a half year later (yes that had happened). Since you never changed the password every buyer has access to your account. But, if you would have changed your password, even a minor change, the attackers will ignore your account since they have (usually) a lot of other accounts to try. And why brother with the ones that doesn't work?

Password changing gives an advantage even if it's just a minor change. Keep that in mind.
