Does that seems unreasonable? We already grow more than enough food in this country and surely we're not getting 300x more value from the corn.
As a man who happens to meet those criteria, and has participated in a few hundred hookups over the last 10 years, I'd say a significant portion of the women either directly or indirectly try to discern answers to those questions before meeting or agreeing to casual sex.
When casual sex is a possibility, many high value men will see it as a desirable option to commited relationships. And since for most men, their standards are very low for casual partners, they're willing to date far below their "level".
That puts women in difficult position because the most desirable partners are far more likely to be looking for only casual sex. But even if women adopt strict strategies to filter out the desirable men who won't commit, the men will naturally adopt deceptive strategies to evade detection as a "fuck boy".
When potential partners largely came from your real social network, the social cost was high for men for "using women for sex" and for women "being easy", so that prevented this problem to some degree.
Now that partners largely come from outside our social networks, there doesn't seem to be any good way to reproduce the social shaming for deceptive non-commitment.
In which capabilities are AI not already close to or beyond that of a human brain?
Can you give a simple example?
I would have agreed 2 years ago, but it's extremely rare I see a frontier model making a silly mistake these days.
If they charged users directly, everyone would just switch back to Firefox.
I did the same with my mom, but then her broker and doctor's websites started complaining that they will only run on a supported browser, i.e., Chrome.
I've gotten her to still use Firefox for most other things, but it's not easy.
Why do you say that? I've used Claude Code with DeepSeek via OpenRouter just fine.
There's been no confirmation that any phones will come pre-installed with GrapheneOS from Motorola, just that some phones will be compatible.
My guess is Google is already applying pressure on Motorola to make sure every phone still ships with standard Android from the factory.
That's why they provide cryptographic attestation that the open model they're running is exactly what they advertise without any modifications.
That combined with GPU confidential compute should protect your LLM prompt and output.
Using regular encryption and secure enclaves, there are already providers that are roughly 2x the cost of normal providers. For example, https://tinfoil.sh/
To me, the risks of an individual helping China to continue to develop their AI by being a customer is pretty marginal compared with the personal risks of my data being used against me.
I don't think many people would agree with that. Other than their philosophical differences in their approach to dealing with externalities (classic liberals favoring preemptive regulations and libertarianism favoring compensation for damage to property rights), I don't see that much practical difference between them.
As an American, I'd much rather have my data kept outside the country than here where companies and the government have a lot more leverage over me.
