Why do you lack confidence in your positions and feel justified in appealing to power to silence your opposition? Probably because your positions are debatable and that scares you.
Demonstrate your ability to convince everyone with your dazzling philosophy and concrete facts on any topic you choose and see where all that smug superiority gets you.
I wonder if undermining terms of service in this way is a stop on the road to IBOR?
Wot? Not sure how to respond to something so silly. I hope you mistyped. From whence does one derive their "money supply"?
Scrip is a placeholder for value like any other printed currency. It works well in place of debased government fiat, at least in times of trouble, because the web of trust at the local level is strong enough to back individual transactions.
When national currencies collapse, local communities that issue scrip to facilitate ongoing commerce fare well.
Should that happen, I don't consider that a special punishment from God any more than my current condition is a special gift.
I'm here for a blink and then I am gone for the rest of long time. This brief opportunity to improve things and make earthly living less hellish for those who come after me is the blessing that I am thankful for.
Hope that helps.
The way you describe your 'luck', I read as "random good fortune" tinged with some guilt for being a 'have' when there are so many 'have-not's.
I prefer 'blessed', and not in the corny #blessed way, to describe my condition. To me, I was given much because so much is expected of me by God, by universe and by my higher self.
The extent to which I am blessed is a component of my calling to improve the total human condition.
If you lean in to that way of thinking, you obligate yourself and that can be as heavy a burden as you choose to make it. That choice and the freedom to decide how to fulfill that obligation are a part of the blessing.
To naval gaze and feel guilt is natural but fruitless stinkin' thinkin'. Motivating oneself with gratitude and humbling oneself by giving glory are ways to power through guilt.
Why is this allowed? This sounds like a small hell.
I left Windows the moment we shifted from "developers, developers, developers, developers" to "advertisers, advertisers, advertisers, advertisers" and never looked back.
Ubuntu is very pleasant to work with, nowadays.
Fellow scrounging raccoons, raise your chipped mugs and cracked cups! Let us toast to our fortune, we truly are the blessed ones.
Stop scaring people off with your othering, jerkface attitude.
History will be the judge as to whether you are right about a particular vaccine. They're not all the same in terms of efficacy nor safety, OBVIOUSLY.
No one knows what they're doing when they are just starting out. This is just dumb.
Is that the case here? Not enough regular care and cage cleaning? This seems like a DEI class-action lawsuit nightmare in the making.
"Maybe I am part of 'the problem'." Having that observation, becoming humble, and owning up to one's mistakes is very hard to do.
In fact, short of the world burning to ashes, many sociopaths would never reach the conclusion that they are a cause of the woes around them.
THAT is why you imprison criminals and make their lives terrible, to give them a chance for penitence such that they can reform.
Jobs clearly wasn't resistant to app stores.
> Wrong, here's receipts.
30%!
> Wrong, 15% unless you're a whale.
Don't argue. Just read my mind through the screen, you already agree with everything I said.

I don't get a dopamine hit from threads like this, they drain me. The opposing side gets a dopamine hit, reputation be damned.
I wish everyone would broaden their media sources as well as treasure history more (myself included.) I do appreciate flippant vs. philosophical exchanges like these to sift the comments for nuanced truths.
You see his vision as a big miss. I see his vision as evidence of good taste and also an eventuality.
In general I think developers value their code too much and should be willing to scrap and rewrite, especially whenever requirements are changing. I chalk it up to everyone's desire to conserve mental energies due to not understanding what their energy peak/limits are.
I noticed recently YouTube made it REALLY hard for me to download an mp4 for a video using VLC.
Now if I were a betting man, and the collapse of Google were imminent, I'd bet that in liquidation, they'd want to charge to get an offline copy of the videos they store. Soooo, in the meantime before the collapse, they're making it painful/time consuming to download their videos so they can max out their post-meltdown profits.
Make backups of your fav's while you can.
What I don't like is the concentration level required for functional productions over equivalent imperative routines. I have found it difficult to impress upon junior developers the testing advantages of functional programming and in refactoring pairing sessions with them, they quickly lose the thread and go all doe eyed.
I feel like the current functional programming paradigms favor terseness that completely obliterates the thought process that led to the production. So, even if junior has the aha moment when we reach the end of the production, and understands what we just achieved there in 6 lines of dense code, they'd be at a loss to retrace it themselves in the future because the thought processes of each operator in the production require too much simulation space in the head.
That, and libraries like RxJS that layer in concepts of time and observables and higher-order observables with sneaky completion states that only stretch the mind further because the true semantics of the program are coupled with under-documented quirky edge cases of the operators. Running into one of those while pairing with junior is not exactly confidence building.
Long-form programming with named pure functions might help, but then I suppose you can lose the terseness and can get lost in a sea of 1-line named functions.
At least for my body, the troubled GI side effects faded over time. I never noticed any lightheadedness or fatigue by it unless I overdosed. But as I mentioned, I never changed my lifestyle and eat America-sized portions, so I suspect there's plenty of sugars and energy sloshing about and all systems have power.
I take it daily. There were mild GI side effects and weight loss at first, but my body adjusted and now it is BAU.
Haven't changed my lifestyle, can't know if it has made me more healthful. I still get colds and flu maybe once every other year.
Had a vaccine injury scare after the second jab. My health has been down since, can't know if Metformin is helping or hurting that situation - hopefully in the background helping me heal.
How many redlines they gotta cross and ops they gotta run before they rival the KGB for you?
That said, if someone OTHER THAN YOU was paid by the post for posts akin to yours, and I was their boss, I would reassign that person to Reddit.
