That is almost like out of a Silicon Valley episode, but gone dark.

It’s the same situation as in New York.
Plenty of landlords can afford keeping their prices high hoping for the eventual bite. If they lower their prices further they do a bigger damage to their portfolio for years to come once you factor in rent control.
I believe consumers are in their right, moral or not, to block ads, and Youtube/Google is in their right to disable ad blockers.
I am wondering if someone has a solution because I would really be interested in hearing it.
Google did destroy the competition on the space forcing a monopoly.
So if there was a similar competing service with the same content quality and revenue models, would you subscribe/watch the ads?
Should YouTube be a free service or what?

As a hiring manager, I definitely felt the shift. It was a complete opposite from my hiring experience pre-pandemic.

What worked for me and my current partner is being upfront about my career goals and the lengths I was willing to go to achieve them. I’ve now been in a strong relationship for 7+ years which is twice whatever I lasted with other partners who found me sometimes reserving a weekend to work/research a deal killer.
Also, think about this, these people were promoted multiple times for going "above & beyond". They just weren't an optimal fit for their last roles.
