I guess most people are about to unsubscribe from LWN.

I don't think there news articles are even worthy enough to be paywalled at all this days.

I use Brave Search+ DuckDuckGo+ Google Image search and that seems to sastify my search requirements while keeping my payment info private.

I don't think I will ever think of subscribing to Kagi metasearch engine, especially since their paywalled search offerings seem to be inferior to other options.

I feel lost here.

Isn't Microsoft Copilot based on OpenAI AI models like ChatGPT?

Does the disclosure that is refranced in the Bloomberg analysis that the article is based on take this in consideration?

How much would Microsoft save by switching to open source AI?

I am asking because they seem to be looking forward to this as soon as possible.
